SOURCE: 84 4speed manual diesel hilux

Yes, there are two adjustments for your clutch available, one can be found at the back of the primary clutch master cylinder and the other one is the rod sticking out of your secondary clutch master cylinder. it's very tricky though, make sure to turn those adjustments a turn at a time. small turn makes a big difference. make sure to bleed your system afterwards.

SOURCE: 89 TOYOTA HILUX 22R PETROL 2 WHEEL . WHAT ARE

Turn the crankshaft so that the crank keyway is in 12-0'-clock position. Refit the cranksprocket. Fit the timing chain to the crank sprocket. It is marked in two places. The part that lines up with the crank is a single bright metal link. Fit the cam sprocket to the chain so that the timing mark on the sprocket sits between the two adjacent bright links on the chain and then place it on the camshaft. See that the chain is properly positioned between the guides . Turn the cam counterclockwise and fit the tensioner.

I would like to set the tappets sound like a diesel motor

Depending on the engine will determine if you can "adjust the tappets". Older cars had solid lifters so they had to be adjusted. Newer cars have hydraulic lifters and need no adjusting.

If your tappets sound like a "diesel motor" it may be they are not getting oil - or the center of the tube that provides oil to the tappets are blocked.

Need to remove the valve cover and run the engine just long enough to see if oil is coming out of the lifter. If when you remove the valve cover and the lifters look dry then you have a "lubricating problem" and you need to get it taken care of immediately.

What is involved in a tune up

if petrol - spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter, throttle body clean, ignition timing check and adjustment, exhaust gas check, carburettor adjustment, valve tappet adjustment, ECU code check/scan. fuel injector clean.

if diesel- air & fuel filter, tappet adjustment, check glow plugs, scan ECU, drain sedimenter, may require injector clean and/or fuel timing adjustment.

if your car has a running problem get it diagnosed first.
