Question about 2006 Hyundai Tucson

Key fob does not flash lights or honk when lock is pushed

When I use my key fob to lock my 2006 Tucson, no lights flash and I do not get the car to honk to signal that it is locked. When I press the unlock with the key fob, the lights flash and I hear the doors unlock. Also, periodically the driver's rear door will lock when I have been driving the car, but will not unlock unless I lock all the doors and then unlock it. This door does have the child safety lock on as well.

SOURCE: 2006 Sonata--the remote

the system can have that setting changed for you using a Hy-Scan or GDS at your Hyundai dealer.

it is in the "BCM" under "User Options", and lets you enable/disable the "Horn Answer Back", rolling locks, and a few other settings.

How do I get my alarm system to chirp instead of beep when it goes off or when I lock my doors with the remote entry key fob?

Check to see if your vehicle honks when you press the "lock" button on your key fob. Press the "lock" button multiple times in a row. Many devices won't beep unless you double-tap the button after locking. If the horn doesn't honk, but the lights flash, your chirp feature is probably disabled.

Use your keyless fob and ignition key to enable the audible chirp. The process varies considerably on different makes and models. You must usually consult your owner's manual, a dealership or the alarm manufacturer for the correct process.

Reset key fob

Unlock all doors, foot on brake, all doors closed. Cycle key quickly but carefully on-off appr 10 times until the car honks one time.

Do not turn the key far enough to start the car, just to the 'on' position so the dashboard lights up.

When the horn honks, open and close the driver's door, press any remote button and that's it.

Program another remote? Quickly open and close the driver's door again and push a button on the 2nd remote. That's it.

When you're done, remove the key and the horn should honk 3 times. You're all set.
Sometime it takes more than 10 on-offs to set program mode. Open/close the door, lock/unlock etc, wait 10 minutes, then try again

Crimestopper SP501 car alarm/remote starter will not respond. The 2 way one doesn't work, the sidekick does.

You need to program your crimestopper sp-501 key fobs, you need to program both the 2-way and the 1-way key fobs, during the same key fob program session. First find your valet button/switch, when you have found it, turn your ignition on and press the valet button four times, if you have a toggle type switch for a valet switch, toggle it up and down four times, when its in remote key fob program mode, it will honk your horn 4-times followed by 4-parking light flashes. Once your have done this press the lock button on the 2-way key fob, horn will honk and the 2-way will sing a little song to confirm programed, then press the lock button on the 1-way key fob the horn honk will be your confirm programed. turn ignition off this will exit you from program mode. then shut all doors and test key fobs for operation functions....hope this helps you out

Both key fobs for honda pilot 2006 no longer works. Do I need new keys or is it something internal such as a fuse?

First thing, does the red light on the remote light up when you push any of the button
if no, then replace battery inside remote
if yes, then try repograming the remote to the car again.
-Have both remote ready. fob#1 and fob#2 (doesn't matter which one is #1 or #2)
-each step has to be done within 5 sec or it will not work, but don't do it super fast.
1.turn key just to the "on" position (not starting) and push "lock button " on fob#1 once and release
2.turn key off
3.turn key just to the "on" position (not starting)and push "lock button " on fob#1 once and release
4.turn key off
5.turn key just to the "on" position (not starting)and push "lock button " on fob#1 once and release
6turn key off
7.turn key just to the "on" position (not starting) and push "lock button " on fob#1 twice (if you only have one fob, then stop here and go to step 7)and push the "lock button" on fob#2 twice.
8.turn key off and remove key from ignition.
if you did it right, remotes should work again.
good luck

Kia Rio 1.5 diesel Factory alarm, car horn honking, side indicators flashing, unable to start the car. When I arm the car with the fob and unlock the door with the key then open the door the horn starts...

The fob is infamous for its battery life. It gets drained so quickly that there happens to be a little later when the fob is very close to the door lock, ignition & unnecessary triggers the alarm due to low reception as the battery of the fobs discharges very fast, depending on the model, which has a certain virtual sheild(STARTRECK type) which is triggered by the fobs strength of the signal(radi waves).

Why not try a new set of batteries for your fob?? .................................sodeep
