Air conditioner blows hot air

I own a 1995 subaru legacy wagon and the air conditioner blows hot air, the first time I've had a problem with the ac in 15 years! How much will it cost and what has to be done to fix it?

Check for a loose connection on the A/C compressor, just behind the pulley/clutch or it might need to be recharged, if the car is r134a ready then it will cost about 40 bucks to get a simple recharge kit from an auto parts store.

2008 legacy air conditioner was blowing cool air but not cold I added one can 134a on low pressure side with motor running ac on high cold now it only blows hot air

I highly recommend that you get it checked by a professional. You may have a restriction in your system, or the system is way overcharged. In either of these cases, the possibility of high pressure causing lines or hoses to burst and possible severe damage to your vehicle, like a destroyed compressor, is very likely.

Also, check the can that you added freon from. Many of the small cans of freon sold at the local parts retailers have several ounces of "oil charge" in them. Many times, when these cans are used to fill the system, the system ends up saturated with too much oil, which can also cause dangerously high head pressures, which can result in severe damage to your vehicle. In these cases, the system must be evacuated and flushed out to reduce the amount of oil in the system before it will cool properly.

Agurgling sound behind dashboard after hurling the car aircond ,a propspector buyer said that the aircond valve is plugged, unless we do something he will not buy our toyota vigo bought in the year 2007

This noise is common on cars after running the air conditioner for a period of time. As the AC runs it collects condensation from the air and it drains down a tube under the car (this is why you see a puddle under the car after you park on a hot day). You'll here the same noise from a window air conditioner in a house each time it cycles.

Hope this helps.

I do believe that from 95 to 99 are direct fit replacement seats. The seats may vary in options but should bolt right in. Good luck and have a great day.

The air conditioner switches off

If you are positive it is full, then I would have someone check the pressure switch on the evaporator. When the system pressure drops, it will shut off the system. Usually people think the system does not work when I buy a car, and 9 out of 10 times it is just not fully charged. I wish you luck and have a great day.
