Fuse for fuel pump keeps blowing

Normally fuse blows off if more current passes through it than what it is designed for.

Probably it is worth checking what original fuel pump fuse amps requirements and have the same installed.

Also check the relay if there is a relay set for the fuel pump.

Good luck

1996 Grand Jeep Cherokee stalling

no, this will not drain your battery, but it sounds like the battery and charging system are working. there must be a draw on the system, you will need to have someone hook up a tester to check for the draw and work back from what they find.

Hello, I have a 1989 dodge dakota sport and I have some kind of electrical problem. I start the vehicle runs fine till I turn the headlights on, and then it immediately stalls out. I turn the lights off...

hi,, the headlights are connected to the alternator, when you turn them on, it drains the power out so the alternator doesnt push enough or drains power from the eletrical system. Have the diodes in your alternator checked, power checked (loads on and off), replace alternator if necessary.

*any mechanic or battery shop can do this)..

voltage loads off 13.5 - 14.2
loads on 13.2 - 14.2

lower or higher is bad..

Truck stalls after driving in rain when truck comes to a stop. either at sign, lights or during stop and go traffic

If this is only stalling in the rain, you are pulling moisture in the ignition system, or fuel system. When stalling if it cut straigt off ( no studdering first) its usually in the electrical system. If it studders first prior to stalling, Its usually in the suel system. In the Night time hours (after dark) open your hood and look for electrical arching. This will give you a map to followto seal up tour electrical issue if it exests. If it is in the fuel system, the first thing I always chack.replace is the fuel cap as the gaskets deteriorate over time and release pressure causing a drop in fuel pressure in the system. Good luck

I have a new alternator and new battery, plus the stater is good but the voltage light keeps coming on and the car stalls.

Does the light come on only when at low RPMs? I would look for either an electrical drain on the system or a physical drain - i.e. maybe the A/C clutch/compressor is frozen.

If the lith is only on at low RPMs, the alternator just isn't moving fast enough to charge. If it's all the time, then the system is indicating that the alternator can't match the demand on the system.

Sounds like an electrical problem. Remove all three battery cables , clean them along with the contacts at the battery and replace both bolts. These cars have two positive cables, one to the starter and one to the engine body electrical system. Try this and reply back.
