Check your battery terminals/cables for tighness. If they're loose jumping won't help. Good luck.

Car jumps but dies when lights turn on

well..14v at terminals is float voltage..the lights will drain into the reserve..sounds like your battery needs a nice long deep charging session..try that first..

My 2006 Toyota Corolla won't start. When I turn the light, all the dashboard lights come on, the radio and clock both come on, but it doesn't even sound like the car is trying to turn over.

Car batteries are very powerful. It's not uncommon for lights and radios to work eventhough the battery is too weak to turn over the engine.

I would try to find someone to give you a jump start. This would atleast help determine if the battery/charging system is the problem.

If it does jump start, let it idle for 10 minutes or so, then turn the engine off and try to start without a jump start. If it does start that would mean that the alternator is working properly. But, if it doesn't start you could have a bad alternator.

If you are able to get the car to a parts place most of them offer a free diagnostic test on batteries and alternators.

I hope this is helpful.

My daughters blazer was running fine last night. She went out to go to work today and when she turned the key. It just clicked and clicked. I am going to jump start it when she gets home. If that...

use decent jump leads ,if it starts then take a battery terminal off and if it keeps running renew the battery if it stops renew the alternator

2003 VW Golf won't start - battery was charged

You need to charge your battery up more. Either get a battery charger or leave the jumper cables hooked up for a longer period of time.
Your battery was probably completely dead. You might even need a new battery...they really don't like to be completely drained.
