Question about 1998 Oldsmobile Aurora
My car a 98 olds aurora is over heating when im going down the hwy but when i slow down or come to a stop or if im driving around town its fine. do you know what cause that?ive replaced the radiator, thermostat and had coolant flushed
May have head gasket leak. If so will be loosing water, possibly quite slowly. At highway speeds cylinder pressure is higher and so gasket leak more likely. Means gasket damage or loose cylinder head. Can be checked by mechanic. (pressure test and cylinder head bolt tension test)
Less likely alternatives, the spark timing is too advanced or the fuel too poor.
