It sounds like you need a new fuel pump.

I have 03 GMC Yukon. It began not starting sometimes. I was told it was the fuel pump (but i hear it whinning when i put the ignition to the on position). Then it began starting when i turned the ignition...

sounds like fuelpump check valve or regulator not holding residual pressure you need to check if fuel pressure is holding with engine off approx. 40 psi

Renault espace automatic engine revs keep falling and stalls out any ideas

Have your idle air control valve and throttle position sensor checked out. They are located on the throttle body. If your check engine light is on, take it to a mechanic and they will scan for codes. Make sure your fuel filter is not clogged and that your fuel pump is functioning well. You can check if your fuel pump has pressure by turning your key just short of cranking over making all your dashboard lights come on. Listen for a buzzing sound as this will indicate it is priming with pressure. If it makes no noise then most likely you're pump is bad or going bad. Remember even if you have fuel pressure, fuel may not be getting to your cylinders

No fuel up to injecter pump truck just stalled

Did you check for fuel pressure on the line from the tank while you had the filter off? Do you hear your fuel pump prime when you turn the ignition on? First I would listen for the hum of the fuel pump when you turn the key to the run position (not starting the engine) May have to get a helper and listen at the gas filler neck with the cap off. If you dont hear your fuel pump, check your fuses and relays. If the relay clicks when your helper turns the key on ( put your finger on the relay and ear down close to feel/hear the relay actuate)., and fuse is good, yet you do not hear the pump prime, I would say your fuel pump is shot.

If it is a diesel, check for fuel pressure coming off the direct drive pump hose while cranking the motor.

2002 yukon deneli quit running--seems to be fuel problem--what checks can i perform

Fuel pressure test.. make sure there is pressure coming from your pump.. you will need a gauge a shop can do it for you.. Also when you put your key in on position listen for priming of a fuel pump. It should be for 2 or 3 seconds. if you hear that kinda buzzing noise your fuel pump is working so that is not the problem which rules out a big cost.

2003 yukon 5.3 ran outa gas put some in now wont start?/??

Good chance that the fuse may have blew and needs to be replaced. If the fuse is still good, the bad news is the fuel pump may have burnt it self out and will need to be replaced. The fuel it self is what keeps the fuel pump cooled and keeps it from burning it self up. Good luck and start with the simple and check the fuse. Good luck and keep me posted.

Ran out of gas and not getting gas to carberator after adding gas

Hello there:
If you have tried priming the fuel pump by turning on the key and listening for the fuel pump to be running if it is it may just need to be primed with a hand priming pump untill you get fuel
but if you still dont get any fuel i would check out the fuel filter to see if it is clogged and needs to be replaced
to locate the fuel pump and filter go under the drivers side and look at the frame of the vehical not quite half way back and you will see the fuel filter and just in front of this about 10 inches towards the engine will be the fuel pump ok>
best regards michael
