Question about 2000 Jaguar S-Type

1 Answer

Jaguar 2000 S-Type 4.0L V8 gas, Where is the starter located? Trying to determine if I should attempt to replace the starter. I have replaced starters before on US made cars. I don't even know where the starter is located due to the fact I can't find a repair guide.

Looking from the front of the car, the starter is on the left hand side of the engine, low down at the back of the engine block. It is just visible from the top of the engine.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya Mechanic can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Mechanic (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Wants to chang coils, but doesnt know which goes in sequence order

I had a V8, so I can write you about V8 only: The steplist easy at V8: just do what you see, no special task, no special tool.
You can exchange coils with each other no order. My advice to replace all, not just bad ones, because their fault have exponential probability which means the first bad determinates all will be bad in a short time.
