Foot on brake and car tries to lurch forward 06 ford 500

the solution the dealership said was to replace the throttle body and tried getting us to pay u0! After I just had it cleaned for $100 not but a month prior to it, plus just paid $1500 for a new compressor! I was p.o.'d so my husband called Ford and got parts and labor for $180. Now the brakes are sounding bad...again. Like they rust so easily and with the recall in the first place, it really makes me wonder.
Sorry I didn't have a better solution for you;)

Why does my car lurch forward at a stop

Not sure what you mean. When you take you foot off the brake it should move forward slowly. But if it jumps could be an idle problem or a trans problem.

as there are no codes to help we'll have to start with the basics , when was the trans fluid last changed ? if not recently i'd start with that , also put a fuel addative in the next time you fill tank , get one that covers the catalytic converter as well as the valves etc keep me posted if you wish

There is a weird grinding noise come from underneath my subaru. The sound seem to be coming from the fron passegner side, and stops when I apply brakes(even a slight touch of the brakes. Thak you.

jack up car on passengers side and see if tire is tight, it may be a bad wheel bearing. to check, see if there is any movement in tires. rotate the tire and see if noise is there. a way to check for a bad wheel bearing is to jack up tire, then apply emergency brake and put foot on brake start car and put it in gear ( foot on brake ).release the brake real slow and the tire will spin,do not give it gas, so you can tell if the bearings are bad. be careful not to let car lurch forward! if not the bearings. you may have a worn brake pad on that side etc. good-day !!

You might have some sticking calipers. Also check the transmission fuild level and transfer case fluid level.

2004 Camry lurches forward when stopping.

Sounds like the torque converter isn't unlocking quick enough. Drive at 45mph,keep foot on gas and use other foot to touch the brake and watch the tach to see if it speeds up,when converter releases. Check trans fluid level hot.If it is more than a couple years old, change. Use the correct fluid for Toyota and add a bottle of Lubgard. Have the throttle positon senor scanned and check any idle control circuits. Throttle Body may need cleaning.

How to bleed brakes on 06 500 after replacing

you can gravity bleed just by opening the bleeder screw, one caliper at a time until fluid comes out.

Or you can go to Harbor Freight and buy an inexpensive pressure bleeder and do it with that.

Jumps forward when brakes are applied at intersections when stopping Doesn't happen all the time.

I don't know if this would be considered a solution or not but in 2006 Ford implemented a new transmission (6 speed automatic) and they have and still have a lot of problems. It is fixed (helped may be more appropriate) by a computer upgrade done by the dealership. MY wife has had nothing but problems out of her 2006 limited ford explorer. The whole computer system had to be replaced at 32,000 miles and then they charged us to upgrade the new computer they put into the car. It's almost comical at this point. The transmission problem has been solved for the most part on our vehichle but it took several ford computer updates. I hope this helps!
