If by the inner tierod you mean the track rod end then this is easy but if you mean the inner joint then thats part of the steering rack,to remove the track rod end then jack vehicle up and remove the wheel ,then turn steering so the track rod end is closer to you ,slacken the nut on the ball joint and then give it a good clout with 2lb hammer on the end of the steering arm and track rod end will pop up ,remove the nut and slacken the lock nut on the threaded rod and then unscrew the track rod end counting the number of turns. If its the inside joint thats failed its mechanical inspection the one thats under the rubber cover then its a new rack and pinion assembly

Trying to replace inner tie rod left side 1996 nissan maxima need to know how it comes loose from rack

I believe a special tool is needed to change inner tierod. you can rent one from a auto parts store that rents out tools. have a good day !! you can also buy a haynes manual for your car, they are based on a complete teardown of vehicle. for about 20.00, you can also get this book at any auto parts store. this book will guide you step by step. some manual give this info, and some dont. if not you can go to library and look up the info to change inner tierod, on your car.

How do i replace a tie rod for 2002 kia sedona

You'll need to remove the wheel. Remove the nut holding the tierod to the spindle, also loosen the lock nut on the inner tierod end, that's against the end of the tierod. Use a tierod seperator tool to seperate the tierod end from the spindle. Unscrew the tierod end, counting the number of turns until the tierod end comes off. Reinstall the new one, the same number of turns, tighten the lock nut and the nut holding the tierod end to the spindle.

1994 chevy cavalier, inner tie rod end.

Usually they can be replaced with a little effort. You would need to get under the car and pry the broken part off the control arm. The tierod end is threaded onto the shaft. There is a bolt which compresses the tierod end onto the tierod. Loosen the compression bolt and unthread the end from the shaft rod. Counting the number of turns to remove it will be the number of turns to replace it. Mount it and then get a front end alignment which is a good idea before something else breaks.

INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO REPLACE OUTER TIE ROD END

Basic socket, set wrench set, hammer possibly pipe wrench,Torch. Jack and support car with jack stands, remove wheel, with correct wrench first loosen inside nut on tie rod this is the nut that keeps the inner and outer tierod from coming apart also this is how you set toe by loosening this nut then truning inner tierod. after nut is loose remove cotter pin from castle nut on outer tierod.then remove castle nut. hit spindle where tie rod goes into spindle hard tie rod will pop out. then spin outter tie rod off inner tierod.*** note you will need to have car alighned after but to get it close count number of turns when removing then install same number of turns. This area of the car is prone to rust so heat may be needed to loosen tight nuts. Dont forget to grease after install.
