When i start my 01 firebird the radio wont come on and the windows dont work, after about 30 seconds they start to work. 2 days ago the power antenna just kept going up and down about 7 times. it seems to only do it after sitting over night.

With our 2000 Firebird the Door locks also didn't work. A couple of solder joints became loos on a BCM module located under the glove box area inside a plastic case we had to remove. All's good now on ours after resoldering the locations I found on another site.

Good Luck

Could be something as simple as a battery and battery cables. How old is battery? Can it pass a load test? Are the cables in good condition? No rust, corrosion and loseness.

Why is my 1989 Pontiac Firebird hesitating and now wont turn over?

How long since a tune-up? Include air filter, fuel filter, gas injector cleaner...Also check the Idle Air Control valve on your 3.4 V-6...It can be dirty or clogged over time...Located on the air intake plenum...your auto parts store can also show you a diagram...Fuel pressure must be constant also, your Firebird is worth having the fuel pressure regulator checked, as well as the fuel pump...

Antenna motor will not stop running

No, I wouldn't pull the fuse then. But you could pull the electrical connector off at the antenna motor. Just have the antenna up if you want the radio, and pull off the antenna motor connector. When or if you get a new antenna motor for it, it should be an easy replacement. Look for a motor at a salvage yard.

My radio and windows work for about 30 seconds then turn off in my 2001 trans am. Do I have a short somewhere? Help!

I read that the windows and radio work off of the same wiring system. I would check for a bad wire. Also check your fuse for both. You would be surpised with these nightmare cars.

96 jetta treck wont start ( radio written SAVE )

I will work with some assumptions here.Your radio has a hole in each corner of it.Use nails and insert into the holes.GENTLY pull radio out and there should be a sticker on the body of the radio with a 4 number code.Write it down and put the radio back into the dash.Hold the scan and mode button in at the same time and the word SAFE will go away. Now,your station preset buttons are the keyboard.Push the #1 preset repeatedly until the first number in your code is displayed.then on to 2 for the 2nd and so on.After you put in your 4 number code, hold in scan and mode again and in about 2 seconds, tunes!!!!!You might get lucky and call your local vw dealer with the VIN of your car. They might have your code on file. Will save you a lot of trouble as the radio is not easy to remove.
best of luck!!!

My car radio is locked

I did this like 6 months ago on my 95 firebird. Dont pay $50 for the dealer to "crack the code"
This might not be the dealer code i used, so if it's dead, google for a working one. Heres how ya do it,
press the 2 & 3 numbers at the same time for about 10 seconds; a 2 or 3 digit code will come up; press the am/fm button for about 10 seconds; another code will appear; dial 1-800-537-5140 and enter 106010 followed by the # sign; enter the 4 or 6 digit code from your radio followed by an *; the phone number will give you a 3 or 4 digit override code; enter this code into your radio just as your owners manual tells you to - use the hour and minute buttons to put in the unloc code.

Disclamer* just for legit owners who forgot their lock #'s
