Hi, the problem you are having could be one of a couple of things, now the usual reason for it not turning further is due to the steering lock being on and being tight so to rule this out you need to turn the steering wheel as far as you can left and right whilst trying to turn the key.
it may be real stiff to turn so you may need to try turning it quite hard do it left and right whilst turning the key backwards and forwards until it gets past that possition and it should then hopefully get you started.

now the second problem you could have is that the key has worn and no longer presses the correct setting in the barrel to turn the key to enable you to start the car, you can try putting the key in the other way round, you could also spray a bit of easing spray into the lock to try and loosening it but only spray a small amount.
if you have a spare key you should try this as well just to find out if its the key or the barrel at fault.

you should also try pulling the key in and out a small amount whislt you try turning the key sometimes this will free the it up and get it working again.

failing that you could need to get yourself a new ignition barrel.

let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

I have 2001 volvo s80 t6 green color i lost the

If you take your VIN # to a dealer or a locksmith, they shouls be able to cut you a key with the right chip on it, and shouldn't have to reprogram the computer. I would suggest you phone around to a few places first, and explain your situation. The only other thing you can do is try to find an idenbtical car at an auto wrecker, and change the key and tumbler, and the the computer, because it has to match the key if it has a chip on it. Good luck.

2001 Volvo S80 T6 "Engine System Service Required"

Hold down the odometer reset button, turn the ignition key to position 1 for 1-2 sec. Then, turn the key to position 2 still holding the button down. Wait for the service light to flash and release the button. It can be tricky. It may take a few times to get it.
