Question about 2005 Chevrolet Avalanche
If you are absolutely confident the AC compressor is not kicking out on low pressure then it is the blend door actuator.
The blend door determines how much air blows through the heater core or evaporator.
The actuator can be purchased at dealer and maybe at a local part store.

Sound like a vacuum operated device not working. under hood on passenger side is a vacuum operated lever that opens and shuts off the heater. sits close to the firewall sitting on top of the heater blower area in plain site. Usually brass mtetal looking with a tube attached to one side. that tube is the vacuum tube that makes the device pull on the lever. for testing puposes you can manually operate the lever and see if you have cold air again
