Please provide more information on your steering troubles. Like its hard to turn the wheel, there is a grinding noise, at slow speed the steering is stiff, at high speeds the steering is stiff.

These are very good cars and very simple steering systems. The power steering pump needs to be inspected. They use bushings to aide in holding these inplace. If there is an oil leak, the bushings become soft and will not allow the belt to remain tight thus causing a slip and reduce power function. Let me know what you find and if you need further assistance.

If everything has checked out and is still giving an issue, we need to look at the condition of the fluid. You can drain and replace the fluid and see if it makes it better. If not look for leaks at the steering gearbox. The power steering pump would seem like the most likely cause. Again, great little cars!!

I have a 2000 gmc 2500 I recently replaced my power steering pump and have trouble turning at low speeds I replaced my steering geat today and still have the problem

See if you have "variable assist power steering" with a malfunction. A solenoid may be mounted on the steering rack, provides less PS at higher speeds, full power steering capability at slow speeds or when stopped. Your belt is tight for the pump?

I'll bet the light is on because you have a miss-fire or two.
Have the computer scanned for trouble codes - it may tell you which cylinders to look at.

I am having trouble steering my 2000 Ford Windstar at low speeds. As long as I am not making a sharp turn, its not so bad. Power Steering Pump perhaps??

Quite possibly the power steering pump. have you checked your power steering fluid recently? If it is old and getting burnt it is possible that this could gum up your power steering also..

Foot brake wiring harness

IT is under the floor board, under the carpet or flooring you have. It is coming up from under that. It should be fairly easy to locate once you pull back the carpet

Drivers side rear turn signal and brake light not working

I've noticed the same problem with my 2001 Ford Exployer Sport Trac. When my girlfriend drives my truck she raises the steering column, and when I'm driving, I lower the column. I noticed when I was driving recently the left front turn signal kept flashing quickly, thought it was the bulb, but changed and still happening. Today I took apart the steering column cover and noticed the wiring for the turn signals and hazards were loose. To fix this problem I pulled the wires out of column more as to not stress the connection. So far this has fixed the problem.
