Question about 2007 Nissan Pathfinder Off Road
After filling up my Nissan Pathfinder, the gas gauge will go to empty and the low fuel light will come on. After driving it for a while, the gas gauge will come back to normal, but the check engine light will come on.
Very well sounds like the sending unit in the tank. Try running some octane booster and fuel injection cleaner in tank of the truck to loosen any deposits on the float.

Its sounds like the contact switch on the sending unit has gone bad. at the top end of the potentiometer, the wiper has a dead spot, causing the reading to be empty. once the fuel level drops to a level where the wiper contacts a good spot, the gauge reads correctly again. the only fix for this is to replace the sending unit. the check engine light will probably read for a code like "unstable fuel level voltage" or something to that nature, only scanning for the code will tell you for sure. good luck!
