Check fuel pressure regulator.
Pull out vacuum line from regulator and see if there any gasolin inside . If there is , it's your problem. Broken diaphragm inside fuel pressure regulator.
Replace fuel pressure regulator.
If not , further diagnostics has to be performed by workshop.

You need more oil. Add until it says it is full or in the full range. Also make sure you oil plug is tight on the oil pan.

I'm interested in a 1995 Volvo Turbo 850. Good shape, 130K miles runs good. Don't know anything about Volvo's? Would this be a smart purchase for first car for my teen son?

Good, solid, safe, reliable and very comfortable car. Will use about 9L/100k. Would steer away from the turbo if he is under 21 as this will put your insurance premiums through the roof (they see 'turbo' and think 'sports car'). Rust isn't normally a problem with this model. So in one word, YES.(I live in good old Australia so read with this in mind)

1995 volvo 850 turbo wagon will not start all of a

You can check 2 things. 1., have someone in the car to turn the key to the start position. Tap the starter with a small hammer and see if it cranks. If it does, replace the starter. 2., have the battery tested as well as the connections to the battery. Corrosion builds and can cause heavy resistance to heavy loads(like starting). These are the 2 most likely causes. Let me know if you need further assistance.

How to change a head light on a Volvo 850 Turbo 1995

Generally speaking, when you pop the hood you look at the back of the headlight assemblies where the connections are for electricity. You can unplug the harness for the lamp in question and unclip the lamp retainer and remove the lamp. When you are putting the new one in, make sure not to touch the glass because the lamps get VERY hot and can burst because of oils left from your skin.

matt
