Question about 1999 Ford Explorer
Is your Odometer turning? cruise control not working? Check Fuses and look for any disfigured relays or even bad relays. If not change your speed control sensor either on the rear axle or on transmission

There is a vehicle speed sensor on top of the rear differential, this sensor is also for the anti-lock brakes. Sometimes you just remove it and clean it (it's magnetic) and may start working again otherwise you have to buy new. Yes, this sensor will affect the trany shifting.
