How do I bleed a 2002 Mazda Millennia coolant system

There is a spicket on the bottom left or bottom right of the radiator on some vehicles not sure about the millenia but you shouldn't have to bleed your coolest system. If you're looking to flush the radiator let the engine cool off, get a container big enough to catch all of the coolant about 2 or 3 gallons (for proper disposal) disconnect bottom radiator hose and drain into your container, you can flush with water through reservoir opening or heater core hoses (if you feel you have enough experience to do so through heater core) and to fill, reconnect bottom hose (I use 50-50 but I suggest you use what's recommended in your area) there is a cap that says something like do not remove without checking owners manual that looks like a smaller radiator cap on the left side front of your engine connected to a radiator hose. Remove this cap with engine cold and fill to top of opening, start the engine and continue to add coolest untill full and with engine running, replace cap. Fill your reservoir and you should be good to go.

Do I have to release a valve when adding antifreeze to radiator on 2006 toyota sequoia?

Look for an air bleed valve, high on the block or head, often right on the thermostat housing. Such a valve if equipped, will be at the highest point of the coolant passages in the engine, used to bleed air from the engine coolant. When you are filling the radiator, the valve should be opened. On a Buick there is a center screw in the valve that just comes out and laid aside until coolant level reaches that point. As you fill the radiator, you are also filling the coolant passages in the engine. When the radiator is close to full, you will see coolant start coming out of the bleed valve. That is when you close the valve, you have bled the air out of the engine coolant, and you can now continue filling the radiator.

Put water in radiator

Usually, all you need to do is fill the radiator, leave the radiator cap off, start car and let it idle until engine reaches normal operating temperature, and the thermostat opens (upper hose will get hot or warm). Then shut off the car, top up radiator and overflow bottle, replace cap, and you are good to go.
I own a Sentra and was recommended when filling the radiator to keep the car running while filling to help expel air. Also many cars have a bleed valve on top of or near the thermostat housing which should be open while filling with coolant, and as soon as coolant starts coming out the bleeder valve, it should be closed, and then continue filling radiator. If you don't have such a bleed valve, and you still think air might be trapped in the engine, you could find a coolant temperature sensor or sender unit that is at or near the top of the coolant passages or areas of the engine where coolant is found, crack it open to make sure only coolant and no air comes out.
The Sentra engine is easy to trap air, but by running engine when filling, and waiting until thermostat opened before shutting off and capping the radiator, I had no trouble filling the coolant-no air was trapped.
Good luck.

How to flush coolant system in 1998 Olds Silhouette

Here's a link to read about your Olds. Here's a kit that has instructions how to flush. You need to drain the system, the drain valve is located on lower driver side of the radiator. When the system is dry, shut the valve and fill the radiator with new coolant. Fill until the coolant runs out the top, fill the overflow tank to cold mark.
Start the engine and let it warm up until the thermosat opens. Standing in front of the vehicle there is a small bleed valve located on the right just above the thermostat open it until the coolant comes out and shut it back off. Located on the left of the engine just above the water pump is another bleed valve, do the same with it. You may have to do this two or three times before you have all the air out of the system.

When draining radiator for flush the Haynes manual says to "detach coolant air bleed hose from throttle body". Where's this?

This is located at the front of the engine, but is very difficult to get to because many other things are around it. It is not necessary to do this step. When refilling the radiator with fresh coolant, fill it to the top, then set the heater controls to maximum and let engine run with radiator cap off. When the thermostat opens, the coolant will flow thru the system and bleed out all the air. Fill the radiator with additional coolant.

Hi,
The bleeding nipple would be near the water pump rad hose inlet and beneath the thermostat valve cover.
Bleeding is easy, just fill up the radiator and the reservoir w/ coolant run the engine for 5 min and open the bleeding nipples! or Just fill up the radiator before u start the engine, early morning, run the engine for 5 min. untill the thermostat valve opens, open the radiator cap( use a wet rag ), carefull not to open it instantly! Fill up the radiator while the engine runs, add coolant while u slightly reving up the engine.
Do these and open the heater to maximum, air might be inside the core too!
Hope that helps u out!
