1998 ram 1500 code 1391

That code is Intermittent loss of camshaft positon sensor OR crankshaft position sensor. It would suggest to me that perhaps there is dirt obstructing the signal or possiblr wiring problems. A loose connection, corrosion, perhaps a bare spot on a wire. I'd check this stuff carefully before I started spending on new sensors. Hope this helps.

How to repair a check engine on a 2005 dodge ram 1500

When "cjeck engine" light turn on, means that some fault code is stored in the PCM (computer) you will need scaner the PCM to know exactly what code is there; sometimes Autozone or AutoShop with scanner reader make this job for free. With this code number we could send additional details to diagnostic and solutions.

Keep us updated.

Rough idle and misfire on ram truck

Change cam sensor & erase codes.( disconnect battery for a minute or so after.) 340 & 1391 refer to cam sensor problem, and all other 300 codes are cylinder misfires that should disappear when cam sensor fixed.
