Misfiring engine light keeps appearing

Sparkplug #5 pulled and found not fuel getting to site.
injector changed on #5 and still engine light comes on with same issue re no fuel getting to site.
-engine is a 4.3
-in the last 2 months the following has been done to deal with this ongoing issue;
-sensor-safe GKT MK Int. manifold Gasket
-ignition distributor replaced
-spark plugs replaced
-sensors checked , and replaced that we new of
-electrical wiring checked
-reprogrammed the ECM
-brake switch replaced
-Seems that whatever the issue is it seems to be affecting multiple areas
- at an accellerated speed on an incline, as the engine needs to shift for the third time to maintain a speed of 80 on a drawn out hill, the engine light comes on and then power is lost slowly due to the fuel shut down.

Presently engine light came on again with the same diagnostic issue.

Testimonial: "Our thoughts were the same even though one of our mechanics did check the pressure on the fuel lines , etc. etc., we think it might be a lemon fuel regulator right from the factory. Thankyou for comfirming my thoughts on replacing the fuel regulator."

- Faulty spark plug 5
- Clogged or faulty fuel injector 5
- Faulty ignition coil 5
- Fuel injector 5 harness is open or shorted
- Fuel injector 5 circuit poor electrical connection
- Ignition coil 5 harness is open or shorted
- Ignition coil 5 circuit poor electrical connection
- Insufficient cylinder 5 compression
- Incorrect fuel pressure
- Intake air leak
What does this mean? What does this mean?
Tech notes
The P0305 code means that the cylinder 5 is misfiring or is randomly misfiring. Start by checking for intake leaks an if no leaks are found the next step is to replace the spark plugs on cylinder 5. If the problem persist more tests needs to be done to diagnose problem, see "Possible Causes"
What does this mean? What does this mean?
When is the code detected?
Engine Cylinder 5 is Misfiring.
Possible symptoms
- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
- Lack/loss of power
- Hard start
- Engine hesitation
P0305 Jaguar Description

When a misfire occurs, engine speed will fluctuate. If the engine speed fluctuates enough to cause the Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor signal to vary, the Engine Control Module (ECM) can determine that a misfire is occurring.

I have a 2004 3.9L Mustang with the "check engine soon" light on. I read the codes and 0300, 0301, 0305 and 0316 were up, while the car was still driving fine. Soon, it started to lose strenght, I bar

Best to read the codes first---code p0300 refers to random multiple cyl-- misfire detected causes-- spark plugs---HT leads--ignition coils--wiring.
code p0301 refers tocylinder 1-- misfire detected causes ---engine mechanical fault---wiring---ignition /fuel system ---injector---ECT/Maf sensor(Mass air flow) ECM.
code p0305 refers to cylinder 5 misfire detected causes ---same as 0301
code p0316 refers to misfire detected during start up -first 1000 rpms---causes--- engine mechanical fault---wiring----ignition/fuel system---injector. I would run a fuel system pressure pressure test as the common causes here is the fuel/injectors

Misfire on 3 and 4. 2001 4.6L F-150

There were a number of problems with V=8 engines in this Series. Some of the sparkplugs would try to leave the engine on their own. You need more testing to know what is wrong.

I will try to explain. The trouble Codes generated by your Onboard computer can be too general to identify a specific part for some problems.

There are 3 causes for a misfire. Fuel, spark, and compression. You can have fuel injectors which are dirty or have bad connections or coils and fail to open consistently. Spark issues are more complicated to diagnose as coils are now attached to individual sparkplugs(some models) and are triggered by Crankshaft and Camshaft sensors. A bad coil-pack feeding each bank of sparkplugs can short out adjacent plugs like #3 and #4.

Compression problems between #3 and #4 cylinders from a bad head gasket can cause misfires.

You can get a loaner test kit for the fuel injectors or use a test light or multi-tester. This will eliminate or confirm the fuel injector circuit as the problem.

There are cylinder balance tests that are non invasive when done with a good scanner. Otherwise removing the sparkplugs will be required to do a compression test.

Sparkplugs leaving the engine: They either unscrew or rip out the sparkplug hole. Loose plugs will misfire. BUT there is a problem with removing sparkplugs on these Series of motors. The factory plugs are 2 pieces welded together. Carbon buildup causes the sparkplugs to come apart as they are removed. Use solvent every 1/4 turn, let set for first 2 twists.

There was a Recall on these motors, but a Mileage limit and a time limit of about 7 Years was imposed. Check Internet for articles about all of these subjects, photos, etc.

Please rate my info.

Misfire from cylinder 1 and fuel injection stuck open

One problem will cause another in this case. You can try to just change the fuel injector in the number 1 cylinder and see if the misfire straightens out.

You can use a test light to see if there is a pulse in the wire harness to the number 1 injector. Or there are plug-in lights which attach to the head of the injector harness to show firing of the injectors. Either way, th pulse should be a timed intermittent burst to that 1 cylinder when it is time to fire, just a spark goes to a sparkplug in intermittent bursts.

The crankshaft or camshaft sensor should send divided, pulsed signals to open the injector for fuel release. If the injector is jammed so that it does not go back to its seated position, you will get excessive fuel inside the engine when it is off. The fuel will bleed down into the crankcase and dilute the oil over time. This ruins an engine.

The fuel system normally remains pressurized and when the engine is turned off; the fuel will leak into the cylinder that is not shut. You may have to change the sparkplug as it can be gas-fouled by now. An oil change would be a good idea after you change the injector.

2001 dodge grand caravan sport 3 code 3.3 liter flex fuel random cylinder misfire along with 1 2 5 6 cylinder misfires. scan tools are unable to communicate with computer but check engine light will come...

Dirty fuel injectors. Computer will show misfire on the cylinders that are malfunctioning. If injector cleaner in tank won't clean them, pull them all out and have a professional take them apart and cleaned. Each injector has a screen in it that can get plugged up. Think about Bro, all other stuff has been renewed.

Tuned up car changed 02 sensor full tank of fuel still running rough

Oxygen sensor only report the condition of the engine the rough running condition can range from a worn sparkplug wires to worn sparkplugs to valve problems to injector problems. with the cadillac deville a tune up should be the first attempt to smooth the rough idle with the inspection of the cap and rotor cap and rotor do have a tendancy to arc internally and create misfire so does sparkplug wire that can leak spark voltage to ground and create misfire. the spark plug wire especially if they are brittle and hard can create issues

Misfire #1 cylinder (autozone scanner) I changed all plugs, boots, and #1 cylinder coil. Went back to autozone and says misfire #1 cylinder. should I try replacing #1 injector now?

inspect the sparkplug plug first!! After engine is running for 20 sec (while misfiring), pull your #1 sparkplug and check for fuel. If there is no fuel replace the injector!!If there is fuel, post a comment for more help!!
