My 79 year old father was driving through Winston-Salem in his 2002 Olds Intrigue. HE had transmission problems and was told he needed a new transmission at a cost of $4200. Don't know too many details...

ya sounds quite high...but if they are installing a new transmission then i would say ok.... rebuilt ot junk yard transmission and they are deffinetly riping him off

Motor swap

The flywheel is balanced different. Use the 79 flywheel. The exhaust is all going to have to be changed. The trans., bellhousing will work.

if you alter the steering and suspension in any way as far as changing factory settings you need to get an alingment it sounds like you have to much negative caster
