2006 Tiburon Map Light Conversion to LED Help

I have recently purchased a set of 6411 bulbs for my tib and when i came home and went to change them i realized that i had bought the wrong bulbs, so instinctivly i called back the place and told them it was wrong bulbs and they said they would replace them but, im having problems getting the bulbs out, and one bulb has got pushed up beyond the projector in the Maplight and i cant reach it anymore. also i dont know hwo to explain it but the bulbs they sold me have a neg/pos ends, but my bulb in the map light is a screw in bulb with one side. and due to issues i cant remove them to take to the dealer to get proper replacement, so what am i to do anyone know what bulbs my car uses and what type of LED i light i should use, looking for blue interior. Please help

I work at auto zone personally and own one of these cars they take a h-7 bulb a sylivana they also have a different variety of brightness rated by cool blue with blue tint silver stars 20% brighter and 35% more vertical and horizontial view while driving then the silver star ultras which are the closest thing to H.I.D on the market 45% brighter and 50% more overall vision but the one downfall is they run at a hotter temp. so you must use dieletric grease at the contact points on the bulb itself and in the socket itself to keep the contacts from becoming brittle and breaking and the grease ensures the overall life of the bulb and also locks out moisture

Your really messed up
First ,get an owners manual,if you don't have one already
Then always look up what the bulb or lamp # is,BEFORE you buy them. Looking up fuses and bulbs,is the main reason you ,absolutely need the owners manual.
You also need one, so all these silly people, stop asking what the check lights are for.

how to remove bulb when it doesnt wanna come out is next problem, or removing the overhead console would be helpful then i cna get back in there and fix it..

  • Anonymous May 26, 2010

Most small bulbs just pull out,I know it's hard to get a hold of them
If you can not fish them out ,when they go where they shouldn't. You usually can pop out the fixture/console etc with a plastic type tool,by prying around the edges.
Hopefully you won't have to remove the sun visors and drop the head liner,to get the socket back in place

How do i change the brake light on jeep liberty 2006?

1) You will need to open the rear swing door.

2) On the inside jam there are two torx headed screws (T-15's if I remember correctly).

3) Unscrew the two torx screws.

4) The light is now held by two mounting tabs (small spherical headed plastic sets that go through a rubber grommet).

5) You will need to pry the light casing off (easy pressure with a good size flat head screw driver will do the trick).

6) The light bulbs are twist mount settings inside the light casing.

7) Twist out the mount setting, change the bulbs, and reset the light mountings.

8) To put the light casing push the light casing back on and put in the screws. Everything else will work in reverse when it comes to assembling the whole unit.

which door are you using when you try this. It could be the door switch for that door. If the bulb is still good try another door and see if it comes on

Change rear signal bulb on 2002 ford focus wagon

Open the rear tailgate There are 2 screws that hold light housing in place.. Remove the screws then pull the housing outwards till the clip behind it springs. You then need to knock the housing sideways (outwards) to free the 2 prongs that attach housing to the car body.
Unclip the rear housing from the back of the light unit & change the bulb.

Shifting problems My car is a 2006 Hyundai Tiburon, Automatic, 2.0L 4 Cylinder I've had the car two years I don't know what's related and what isn't so here is the story. Bought car, (cruise control did not work) but everything else seemed fine, engine light came on code read Vehicle Speed Sensor so I bought an input and an out transmission speed sensor and had them installed, Motor blew 2 heads had motor replaced with an almost new motor. Cruise control now works, three days later car would not come out of park shifter moved but car stayed in park felt like shifting cable let loose, I called a backyard mechanic friend and he moved the shifter hard and it went into drive said probably buddy who changed motor forgot to unhook cable and stretched it (made sense to me) it did this everytime car was put into park had to yank on the shifter to get it to shift so I started parking her in neutral and it never messed up, after 3 weeks my new shift cable came in so I went to show my mechanic what car was doing it wouldn't do it worked fine, told him I'd call him next time it messed up this is a year and a half later hasn't messed up like that again! I had already bought the cable so I decided to have it installed anyways even though problem seemed fixed went to a shop they told me nothing is wrong with my cable..... Approx 6 months ago put car into drive and started driving the car reved out (I call it) motor got really loud and RPM gage went to 4K and car jerked really bad and made a really loud snap noise so I pulled over and roughley shift car into park and back into drive and drove this fixed the issue for that drive anyways.... my car one day over heated to red line in a 5 minute drive in the winter my mechanic said must be an air lock so he drained my fluid and replaced ect, next day car wouldn't start, blew starter, replaced that, next day driving car and in a 5 minute drive it overheated to red line took car to shop he said gage is reading wrong car is barely even warm so I decided to take the car home and worry about this issue pay day well the next day car wouldn't start, blew alternator, at this time my mechanic looked over car more closley turns out I had a bad ground so he put on new alternator and new ground, this was a month ago and no more issues with overheating or not starting. However I still have this issue (copy and paste) "put car into drive and started driving the car reved out (I call it) motor got really loud and RPM gage went to 4K and car jerked really bad and made a really loud snap noise so I pulled over and roughley shift car into park and back into drive and drove this fixed the issue for that drive anyways...." After having ground put on and shifting issue still there I took my car directly to Hyundai they ran all their computer tests and transmission tests and took car for a test drive car worked fine and only code that came up was Vehicle Speed Sensor. So here is where I stand first question how many speed sensors does my car have is a transmission input/output speed sensor different then a vehicle speed sensor? I looked on parts sites and only speed sensors I find are ABS speed sensor and Vehicle Speed Transmisson Sensor, so maybe sensors I bought are no good but they were bought new or maybe the connector for the sensors are bad? I don't know any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
