If you don't have any tools for this you can go to most auto parts stores and buy a can of freon with an adapter already on it for your car. They may be able to tell you how to put it in. Try leaving more of a detailed question next time thanks.

I don't know the car you are working on, the high side is usually colored red in the low side may have blue colored cap on it. Another way to find a high side is find the compressor, follow the line coming out of that goes to the condenser or the radiator looking thing in front of the radiator of the car. The low side line goes towards the interior of the car to the evaporator. Hopes this helps

A/c recharge car

If you need a recharge, you have a leak. You will be losing refrigerant 24 hours a day / 7 days a week and need to recharge when it gets low. Most garages and shops offer recharging A/C units from $99 and up. You might want to get an estimate to have the leak fixed before recharging as that would be a "once & done" arrangement. If the leak is in a location that is hard to access, it may cost over $1000 to fix - in which case recharging once or twice a year may not be quite so bad.. Good luck!

Air Conditioning suction and liquid lines are leaking and an accumulator was needs to be replaced. Can I do this repairal myself? Gary Davidson davidsongary9@gmail.com

Yes providing you have the tools necessary to disassemble & reassemble & the correct parts. You will need to recharge system after replacement. If you dont have recharge hoses & guage, may have to pay to have system evacuated & recharged.

A/C is not working; covered by warranty EXCEPT for a 'recharge'.

A recharge is never needed unless there is a leak; the refrigerant does not need to be changed periodically. I believe I would find another technician.

How to recharge the ac

reclarification. I will need to know what type of vehicle it is. Secondly, do you have the equipment to evacuate and then recharge the a/c system?

The system must be pumped down to 20 inches of vacumn for at least 1 hour before recharging the system.

This operation is highly regulated in most states now because of EPA issues.

How do I recharge the a/c on my 95 jeep GC?

If the AC is not blowing cold air anymore, then yes, recharging will help. However, the AC system is a sealed system and should never need recharging. So if it does need recharging, then there is a leak in the system somewhere that has to be fixed first. It can be a little pricy, so be sure to call around for quotes.
