I can't read if you change the rear brake system; you need to change your brakes and have the rear drums checked. If you just replaced the rear shoes, you might of adjused them to tight. Try backing the adjustment off. Does truck have just rear ABS or 4wheel ABS? If 4Wheel ABS it could be any of the 3 sensors. If you have an OHM meter and tell me if truck is 4x2 or 4x4 I will post resistence values for sensors.

The ABS Speed Sensor is located right on top of rear diff. The resistence of this sensor should be 800 to 3500 Ohms. If resistence is in specs, then locate the diagnostic connerctor (right under glove box) and follow this procedure.Verify the ignition switch is in the RUN position (engine does not need to be running). Next, locate the black RABS diagnostic connector C207. The diagnostic connector C207 has two mating halves, one of which has a black/orange (BK/OG) wire connected to it. Disconnect the two halves.

Attach one end of a jumper wire to the black/orange (BK/OG) wire side of the diagnostic connector C207. Ground the opposite end of the jumper wire by connecting it to a ground until the ABS light begins to flash. Grounding this wire should start the yellow ABS warning indicator flashing. If grounding this wire does not start the yellow ABS warning indicator flashing, go to the Symptom Chart of your Repair Manual.

If your truck has 4Wheel ABS it won't have C207 and you will need a scan tool to pull codes.

Also, its possible that you are interesting in read this article about how to Troubleshoot the ABS on a Ford F150.

Hope helped.

I have only installed new master and bled brakes. It has front discs and rear drums , the amber light says rear antilock. It's a 4x4. I cannot seem to locate a diagnostic connector under the glove box.

Keep in mind this info for 1991 Ford Truck F250 3/4 ton
    P/U 4WD 7.3L Diesel 8cyl...

    * The Brake Sensor - ABS is located:

    Rear differential

    * The OBD
    Diagnostic Link Connector is located:

Under hood, driver side, upper firewall, mounted in

    corner (Application: Transmission model E4OD-E)

Also, you'll need check Rear ABS Module...

Fig. 1: Rear anti-lock braking system module

The module is located on the firewall just inboard of the master
    cylinder.

    1. Disconnect the wiring harness.

    2. Remove the 2 attaching screws and lift out the module.

    3. Installation is the reverse of removal.
The RABS system is found on all models except the F-Super Duty and
1993-96 Bronco models. The system constantly monitors rear wheel
speed and, in the event of impending rear wheel lock-up in a sudden
stop, regulates the brake fluid hydraulic pressure at the rear brakes to
prevent total wheel lock-up, thus reducing the possibility of skidding.

Fig. 2: Rear anti-lock braking system

    Good luck.

    RABS Hydraulic Control Valve
    REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
    (see Figure
    1)

Fig. 1: Rear anti-lock braking system valve

The valve is located in the brake lines, below the master
    cylinder.

    1. Disconnect the brake lines from the valve and plug the lines.

    2. Disconnect the wiring harness at the valve.

    3. Remove the 3 nuts retaining the valve to the frame rail and lift
      out the valve.

    4. Installation is the reverse of removal. Don't overtighten the
      brake lines. Bleed the brakes.

    Good luck.

The rear brake calipers on my 1992 Crown Victoria are sitting crooked on the roters. How can I fix it

The calipers are not bleeding back into the master cylinder. I suggest a flush with new fluid first, then bleed the system, starting first at the antilock, the the right rear, the left rear. This is a common problem when a complete brake job is not done.

I install reman booster new master cylinder and the pedal goes to the floor what can i do

You probably need to start over...1st by bench bleeding the master cylinder...(you can do this on your truck...review the bleeding instructions...after completing this you need to be sure the master cylinder is full of brake fluid...you will need a helper...but your next step will be to bleed each wheel brake caliper or cylinder. Start with the right rear, next left rear, then right front to drivers side front...(farthest away to start) you may have a brake fluid leak...if not, your pedal pressure should continually raise...Hope this helps.

1999 Ford E350 van problem: brake pedal is soft; have replaced master cylinder, rear wheel cylinders, rear brake shoes and drums, front calipers, rotors and discs; have bled master cylinder before...

Good question, on the antilock system is a bleader too and bleade it the same way you bleade the caliper. After all is done adjust the rear brakes, they should have a drag to them.

Needs to bleed the hydrolic clutch

want to know a short cut? (trick) take the master cylinder for the clutch off the firewall and tilt forward while pumping the pistron by hand and bleeding those fords are notorious for air locking in the master cylinder due to the fact!! they fasten to the firewall at a backwards tilt!! i have done over 2700 of them in 45 years

Ford f250 diesel . front brakes come on when driving, don't have to use brakes. changed all calipers and hoses. if i bleed the calipers then they will start to release, sometime you can hear the brake...

sounds like a bad master cylinder, next time brakes are locking up , open bleeder screw and see if that releases brake at that wheel if it does then replace master cylinder, good luck.

Brake peddle goes to the floor intermitantly.

The problem may be that the master cylinder needs to be bench bled, there is most likely air trapped in the piston of the master cylinder. The problem comes from the piston not being fully actuated when connected to the pedal assembly.A vacuum bleeder will generally pull it out.
