Why will the engine brake not work in my sterling 2008 lt9500 prime mover could it be a fuse and where are they located

Assume by engine brake you mean an exhaust brake?

Exhaust, eddy current or transmission brakes are usually fitted to vehicles to help them cope with very hilly or mountainous country, extend the life of standard braking components and to reduce driver fatigue.

When an exhaust brake is engaged a butterfly valve in the exhaust is closed via a servo and a linkage. The servo could be vacuum, air pressure or electrical.
I only have experience of the air pressure operated type but I suggest before you begin looking at fuses and other electrical problems you ensure the butterfly valve is not seized or semi-seized and the linkage is secure.

Where is the location of brealine proportioning valve 96 linclon towncar

I am not familiar with the car. Brake proportioning valve is usually positioned these days above or near the rear suspension.

Brake proportioning can be by g-valve, pressure limiting valve or most often these days by a load sensing limiting valve. The latter is connected to the rear suspension by a spring and/or an adjustable link. In some cases there are two valves; one each side for independent rear suspension.
The checking and adjustment of the linkage is generally part of the routine maintenance and is often maladjusted by ill-informed but well-meaning people.

I have seen the g-valve fitted on the front bulkhead by some manufacturers. In theory this type can be fitted almost anywhere.

I have a 98 dodge Durango and the brakes are horrible! when going to stop it goes almost all the way to the floor and once you stop you can feel that the brakes just seem to "release" and even when holding...

if bleeding the brakes doesn,t help then it is the vacuum buster pump which apples and holds pressure to the brake cylinders, check pad or brake shoe wear

Replaced the caliper but the new caliper is still seizing shut when driving

Two possibilities are bad brake hose failing inside and blocking fluid return, or master cylinder not returning all the way due to miadjustment ot sticking linkage.

The linkage on my 206 load sensing valve is seized and it has failed mot i need to find where it is so i can unseize it

Look under the rear you will see a box with 4 brake pipes gonig in on the top. There is a lever that you need to spray some WD40 on it and get a set of grips and move it up & down. Keep spraying and moving it until it comes free.

Suzuki Grand Vitara 1999:

Going by your description I think it could be something different, I would have the brake master cylinder checked, if you are suffering brake failure and shuddering it sounds like your callipers arent getting equal pressure when you apply the brakes. Or a freat lack of pressure to suffer brake failure. I hope this helps.

Parking brake failed inspection is there an adjustment

When you do get it fixed, use it or lose it. Not using your pkg brk will seize the linkage up.

Brake Problem - Brake Won't Quit on my 4 x 4

The LSPV is not the issue. It simply allows more fluid to go the the rear WCs whilst carrying a load. More load = more fluid to the rear brakes.

What I suspect, based upon the info you have provided so far, is that the rear brake pivot mechanisms, for the park brake, are seized. Pull on the rear park brake cables at each side, and see if the metal thing on the backing plate moves freely. If not, that metal thing is seized, and either needs taken apart & lubed, or, if it is severly seized, replaced. This is a VERY common problem. Rectify the park brake pivot concern, readjust the rear brakes, and see if this does not cure your problem. If you have any other question, please feel free to post back.
Hope this helps, and, thanks for choosing FixYa!

Rear brakes uneven breaking as per mot tester

The Chardes have a diagonal split system, so one of the front discs is plumbed to the diagonally located rear drum.

You may need to check the front brakes too and that they have been bleed properly.

Other common cause of uneven braking are:

seized wheel cylinder;
brake hose obstruction or weakend wall;
weak pull off spring on shoe;
uneven drum roundness;
compensator/proportioning valve dicky.
