I turned my car off to go into the store when I came back out it wouldn't start. acted like it wasn't getting fuel put more gas in it still wouldn't start. someone said it was probably fuel pump so I put a fuel pump on it then a fuel filter, then a crank shaft censor, still won't start, someone then told me it was the theft system so I tried two different methods that two different shops told me to try neither of the two worked, now someone says it could be the timing, can anyone tell me how to check the timing, or possibly what else could be wrong with the car. I need help bad

Again i say do not replace parts until you know why, too many people have done this. get a spark tester(in line works best) injector tester(noid light) and fuel pressure guage, and a volt ohm meter, the run basic tests, spark, fuel , injector signal, and voltage goin to components, otherwise you are operating in the dark

How do you check to see if your fuel pump is working

If it wasn't working the vehicle wouldn't start

If you have someone turn the key on & off,
you can listen for the fuel pump, by getting up close
to the tank or put a long tool to it and & your ear

You can also put a fuel pressure gauge on the motor
fuel rail schrader valve & check pressure

It can be tested for pressure, volumn, current, etc

My 2001 sunfire starts fine.but after i drive for about half hour it will stall and wnt start again for half hour.the oil light stays on when this happens.wassup with this?

This happened with my Sunfire. It was the radiator. The engine wasn't cooling, but the sensor wasn't showing that it was overheating. So the engine would start when it was cool, but as soon as it got hot, then if I stopped it wouldn't start again.

Chrysler voyager gets no fuel to egnition

I've been told on my van that my fuel filter was to blame. I had a similar problem, sometimes the car would start and sometimes it wouldn't, and when I was driving I would be stepping on the gas and the car would slow down, then all of a sudden release and I would be going fine again, as if fuel wasn't getting to the engine.
