What is the "Cylinder compresion" on a Jetta TDi 2000 engine? Everybody talks about 155 lbs/ft @ 1900 rpm but I need to know in terms of "Bars" or "PSI" per cylinder.

You don't check compression at 1900 RPM, also compression is read in PSI (pounds per square inch), if u are curious about this kind of stuff suggest you purchase a factory sevice manual

Hello gilvega69: My name is Roger and I will help you.Depending on your compression Gage.it should read bars or psi.The compression should be 10 to 13 bars (145 psi to 189 psi.) With no more then (3 bars or 43 psi.) maximum difference between cylinders.Should you need further help please just ask. Please rate your answer. This way I know it was useful. 2000 VW jetta; what is the torque for valve cover and plenum

I briefly looked online and did not see any info direct6ly relating to the torque spec of the cover bolts. I would guess around 15 ft lbs.--not too much--the head is aluminium--best way to go is to walk up to the service counter of the VW dealer and ask him to provide that information. You have the car and they built it!
