Go to any auto parts like autozone and they will pull code's for you for free, but don't buy any thing till you have it check at a repair shop.

You need to have the diagnostic codes read. Anything else is pure guessing. Those codes can point you in the right direction and often will tell you exactly what is wrong.

Satra codes u2004 u2005 u2005

DTC U2005 SPI Data-Out High
DTC U2004 SPI Data-Out Low
These are communication error codes in the integrated electronics of the car, it has to do with the modules "talking" over a network , I can find no other information,. Remember this is a GM product so the dealer may be needed here.

I have a 1998 Nissan Maxima GLE, I Failed the Emission Inspection (DTC) Diagnostic Trouble Codes of "P1492","P1105" What these Codes exactly? mean

A code P0300 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
  • Faulty spark plugs or wires
  • Faulty coil (pack)
  • Faulty oxygen sensor(s)
  • Faulty fuel injector(s)
  • Burned exhaust valve
  • Faulty catalytic converter(s)
  • Stuck/blocked EGR valve / passages
  • Faulty camshaft position sensor
  • Defective compute
  • P1105MAP/BARO Pressure Switch Solenoid Valve
  • Check and clean the MAP sensor, or replace.
  • P1492EVAP Canister Purge Control/Solenoid Valve (Circuit)
  • Replacing the purge solenoid will clear code P1492 This should also clear code P0300 as well.

. I have a mitsubishi eclipse 98 am repairing but

Hi there,

You really need to obtain your engine fault codes - this will identify if there is an electrical issue.

If you would like instructions on how to extract diagnostic codes from your engine computer, post your email address.

Nissan primera, engine management light permanently on. When car is first started gearbox changes without a problem. when the engine gets warm it sticks in 1st or sticks in 3rd and 4th and won't change...

Hi Kev,

Your Nissan Primera has an on-board diagnostic computer which can detect malfunctions in either engine or transmission.

When the Engine Management light remains lit, this means some faults are present and need investigating.

From what you've described, one of the issues is indeed related to the transmission, but you will need to have the trouble codes (DTC's) extracted from your vehicle's computer, in order to determine what requires repair.

Whenever power is disconnected (i.e. the battery) and re-connected, this resets your vehicle's computer momentarily, until such time as it detects the fault again.

Recommend you either have your local dealer extract the codes (for a small 15min labor fee), or learn to extract the codes yourself, using a suitable jumper wire.

Nissan sunny mod 96 dtc codes

There is a connector under the steering column, you need to buy an OBD 2 system scanner to plug into that connector and access the codes. The system is always in diagnostic mode, OBD 2 stands for On Board Diagnostics second generation.
