How do I check the fluid level on a 1989 Ford f150 truck. The truck slips out of drive when cold and stopping on a hill. But it shifts perfectly afterwards. It only seems to do this one time and I can wait...

you need to check the fuild in it and the shift arm to see if it is out of adjustment and make sure your parking brakes are working for safety give these website a try and if all fails stop by your local library and get your hands on a Haynes auto repair manual for your truck wish you the best of luck Michigan Man.
