Cooling fans wont come on need help trying to find wiring

Try using Autozone.com for the chassis wiring. If you register on their site for FREE you can access this stuff. You may also try to check out your water temp senders. Sometimes there are 2, one for the dash and 1 for the engine management system.

The engine management water sensor makes the cooling fans come on. You can also check for relays in the powerbox usng the Autozone site.

On my wife's 1992 honda accord the cooling fan kicks on after the ignition is turned off. Her battery had died before and I wondered if that may be the source of the battery drain. If so what might be the...

first check the temperature switch for failing closed. you can do this with a test light or ohmmeter. with the car cold, put one test light lead on the battery positive and the other on the temp switch terminal. If your light comes on, replace the switch. If the switch is not failed closed, recommend you replace the fan control module. According to autozone.com, your temperature switch is on the driver side, upper engine area, end of cylinder head, mounted in top of water outlet. The control module is probably in the engine compartment relay box by the battery. If you have questions or your setup differs from what I have explained here, please get back to me.

turn the A/C on and see if that kicks the fan on... if not , there is an issue with the fan motor you should address.

On my 1997 honda accord lx the temperature gauge goes up to the red and the fan does not kick on,but the car does not overheat.what is going on?

If you gauge is readin g that high, you are over heating, maybe not to the point of engine shut down or hose failure. I suspect the thermo sensor that is mounted in the radiator is not operating, therefo causing the cooling fan not to function at high temps.
I recommend you have this checked quickly.

Temp runs hot when at redlight but goes down when i excell

Electric fan on radiator is goofing off. chk if it comes on at all but watching gauge and listening for fan start uo just above operating trmp. Fan helps cool under 35 mph. Forced air cools over 35 mph.
