Sounds like your pads are glazed. You probably need to replace the pads, and likely the rotors.

When driving my 2006 pathfinder a loud clicking sound sound the faster you drive the louder

Hi Herbert, we'll need you to describe more about the sound. Where does it seem to be coming from, the front of the vehicle or rear? Does the sound only come while making a corner or is it present all the time while driving? Does the sound change with light brake application? Does the sound seem related to the engine, brakes, suspension or braking systems? I guessing that it is from the engine compartment. If the service shop guys have told you the problem is with the belts, why did they not replace them? Regards John

Oldsmobile Intrigue front end howl

Need more info...front end you say... A particular side? Is replaced tire the same as other 3 tires? hear it while driving, or braking, or both? Hear it more steering left or right or going around a corner?

Could be a front wheel/hub bearing is my only guess at this point. Howling or groaning could also mindicate a transmission problem.

My right wheel isn't spinning when I'm driving and it's making this horrible squeaking/howling sound. What's wrong with it?

Hi,
WHAT wheel(S) are not spinning? Front/Back/Left/Right?

Do you use your parking brake? If so, it may be stuck "ON" even when you release it.

Take it back to the mechanic and have them do a complete brake test. You're probably due for a brake job - brake pads and/or shoes, new rotors and/or drums.

Rear brakelights and turn signals do not work

The turn signal and brake lights are controlled by the turn signal switch.
You did not mention parking lights so I will assume they work.

Could be a faulty turn signal switch or a wiring problem between the dash and the rear of the van.

Is it normal to hear a sound going down hills around steep corners when you press on the brakes. I believe it is the stabilizing abs system which makes the sound. It is only heard when going down hills...

Hello and welcome to FixYa!
Yes it can be but I do suspect that you have worn out suspension bushings too. Try to check the brake pads as well for it may need replacement. But stabilizing abs and suspension must be the first to check.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

There may be some problem in your driver side suspension. Try replacing that and you may get rectified from the problem. You can purchase the suspension parts here. Try this link.

Chirping birds and screaching sound

Check to be sure there is the correct amount of preload on the front wheel bearings. Too loose or too tight will give you strange noises. Also, you may have a calibur hanging up or retracting too slowly. It causes the brake pad to stay in "Light" contact with the rotor and cause noises too. This could be an intermitten problem.

Good Luck
