2006 Toyota Corolla, every morning there is squeaky sound when I start the car. Later, it goes away. It is for the past six months. Is it serpentine belt causing this sound, if so how I can loose...

The problem is the rear motor mount is filled with hydraulic fluid that leaks onto the accessory drive belt. The motor mounts fail prematurely and the fluid makes the belt squeak. Toyota dealership I took my 2006 Corolla to replaced the motor mount and belt free of charge.

A kitten climbed up into the engine. When we started the engine it got caught in the belt. The belt was shredded as well as the kitten. We got a new belt but not sure how it fits on all the pulleys. Do...

From what i know you need a special tool for the tension arm but.
1. already done by the kitten (verify the belt needs replacement)
2. Inspect the accessory drive belt and belt tensioner assembly.
If there is any roughness to either of the belt tensioner assembly bearings or any sign
of damage, scoring, or glazing on the accessory drive belt, replace BOTH the belt
tensioner assembly and the accessory drive belt.
3. Remove the drive belt.
1ZZ–FE:
A. Remove the engine under
cover RH.
B. Remove the drive belt.
a. Turn the drive belt tensioner
clockwise to relieve tension on
the belt, and then remove
the belt.
b. Carefully return the tensioner
to the unloaded position.
NOTE:
􀀀 When retracting the tensioner, turn it
clockwise SLOWLY in 3 seconds or
more. Do NOT apply force rapidly.
􀀀 After the tensioner is retracted all
the way, do NOT apply more force
than is necessary.
2ZZ–GE:
A. Remove the engine under
cover RH.
B. Remove the wire
harness protector.
a. Unfasten the 3 clips,
then remove the wire
harness protector.
b. Disconnect the pressure
sensor connector.

Looking for a diagram for a serpentine belt for a 2006, Dodge 2500

The main drive belt or serpentine belt is important on any vehicle, but some have more than one belt to drive components from the crankshaft. The Dodge Ram and similar truck models have one true serpentine belt, a multi-ribbed belt that fits into grooves on various pulleys, that Dodge suggests inspecting for wear every 15,000 miles or 12 months.

Disconnect the negative battery terminal. Because the electric fan can start even without the vehicle running, some mechanics suggest disconnecting the battery terminal while working in the serpentine belt area.
2Locate the serpentine belt tensioner pulley. The belt tensioner pulley will have a bolt on its side. On some Dodge Ram models, the tensioner is directly below the air conditioner compressor pulley; look for it above the crankshaft pulley.
3Rotate the tensioner pulley by turning the bolt, either with a wrench for some models or a breaker bar or ratchet for other models.
4Slip off the belt and let the tensioner return to its position.

There is a squealing sound coming from the engine on start up and when sitting idling. Is it the serpentine belt or are there other reasons for this. Is that the only belt on a 2006 toyota corolla...

Check tension the drive belt(s) as slipping at low rev is a classic indication of this fault. In extreme conditions a rubber burning smell may be present. Replacement of drive belts is the 100% remedy and best option .

Replaciing serpentine belt on 2006 Toyota Corolla

You'll have to remove the engine cover under the bottom so you can position the new belt on the pulleys properly. Get a wrench or tensioner tool and turn the tensioner clockwise to relax the drive belt. Don't apply excessive force.

It's hard to draw a picture with words, but looking at the engine from the passenger side of the car, there are basically two top pulleys, two middle, and two bottom. The drive belt goes around the outside of the two top and two bottom, and on the inside of the two middle.

Belt tensioner leakage?

In my 37 years of working on cars, I never, ever heard of a belt tensioner leaking, All there is inside is a heavy duty spring, and after awhile they become weak, causing the belt to squeel. There is no adjustment on them, just replacement.
