How do I get my 1996 Chevy Blazer out of 4 wheel drive? It is stuck.

If it is electronic push button I would go down on side of transfer case and check the control module. It is common for them to go bad. I have taken them off and taken a wrench and taken them manually out of 4 wheel drive to get them home. Module is on Driver side of transfer case. Make sure your dash switch is good, however that module would be my guess. You also have a plunger in the front axle that engages the 4 wheel, that locks the hubs check that as well.

How do I remove a transmission from a 1992 chevy blazer?

Two wheel drive is like any other trans removal. 4 wheel drive is tricky. I usually remove the transfer case first, then the trans. Buy a cheap shop manual for step by step procedure.

4 wheel drive stopped working

the light is on.........let's see, where you having problems with clunking noises in the front, now or before when or not in 4 wheel drive? If so sounds like cv/axle shats/joints. Last time you used 4 wheel, was there a big clunk, just once? Is there an ocasional clunk when going over bumps? If so, sounds like Ujoint. I don't belive chevys use vaccum for 4 wheel drives systems at all.
