Trouble code po1870 ,location and how to fix the proplem
Locate the ALDL(diagnostic lead/connector) which is usually on the right of the steering column, and as you are looking at it, take a paper clip and and place it to jump the 2 right upper terminals. Count the flashes, ---- -- = 42(as an example). Let me know if you need further help.

Remove belt and unbolt center pulley bolt. I believe it's a backward theaded bolt. Turn to the right to loosen.

That fault indicates a problem in the electronic cooling fan circuit. More specificly the output driver in the onboard computer has detected a problem with the control circuit of the electronic fans. First inspect for correct operation of both radiator mounted fans.
