Where is the fuel pump reset button located?

Dodge Caravan does not have a reset button.

ECUElectronic Control Unit immobilize your fuel and spark. How do you then mobilize these systems fuel and spark back to its normal function. Is there a reset button since a monitor shut them down.

The make, model and year please? But few cars have an immobilizer. Ford has a relay in the trunk that has a reset button if you have an inertial impact. Do you hear the fuel pump? If not, and it is not a Ford, then it could be the fuel pump relay?

Where is the fuel reset button?

Should be in the trunk on the drivers side behind the carpeting. The switch is often paired with the air-ride switch.

If you do not find it there, then under the dash around the passengers kickpanel is another possibility. It is one part that gets moved from year to year and model to model.

Just push to button to reset it. If that does not restore the fuel supply, check out your fuel pump relay in the powerbox. Autozone offers free fusebox layouts if you register your vehicle with them.

Trying to locate the fuel filter or fuel reset button

Theirs no fuel filter except to one on the fuel pump inside the tank/\. theirs no reset button but a cade in the computer indicating a ASD reply problem may cause the pump not to run. Turn the key on and off three times and leave it on the last time and the check engine light will flash out the codes and some models the odometer read out may display the codes and some tell the discriptions of the codes too.. Codes are to be corrected from low number to higher number first as some of the lower numbers can cause the higher numbers. Fuel pumps are well known to fail on these cars and those that are run nearly emplty and only a little gas is added at each fuel stop so the car is always being run low on fuel have more troble with fuel pumps than those that are filled up and are kept nearly full in hot weather. Computer reset has to be performed with a scanner. The older models could be reset by disconnecting the battery but that ended in 1989.

I have spark and gas but won't start. i changed spark plugs, rotor, distributar cap.

Check out the fuel inertia cut off for your model, since I don't know your model and year and only know it's a ford, usually its located under the passenger kickpanel with your fuse box for common ford models. Could be that this button been tripped and needs to be pressed to reset the fuel pump. You can also consult your ford owners manual guide, and may have a detail on this fuel pump reset button.

My husband has a 99 Ford Ranger 4WD and is stranded at work. He said it is telling him to push the fuel reset button, and he cannot find this button in his manual?

RESETTING THE SWITCH

See Figures 1 and 2

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF .
  2. Ensure that there is no fuel leaking in the engine compartment, along any of the lines or at the tank. There should be no odor of fuel as well.
  3. If no leakage and/or odor is apparent, reset the switch by pushing the reset button on the top of the switch.

You may need to pull the carpet down and away from the instrument panel in order to access the switch.
