I appreciate the help, but mine was much different.I finally decided to just pull the entire foglamp assembly out today.Easy enough to get to.Just 2 small bolts holding it in.After I got it out,I noticed there was a cable tie around the rubber boot,so I cut that off. Then there was a 2 prong metal clip which snaps into place, then the bulb. Now I can get a new one at wally or my nearest auto parts store.I really wish it would have been as you said, would have been much easier. But all in all,not a difficult job.I thank you for your input.

Typically the fog lamp is located in the front bumper assembly. It's usually fairly easy to access and replace these.

Place the car is park, secure parking brake. Use a creeper to scoot under the front end of the car, look up into the bumper. Located the backside of the fog lamp holder. You would usually grab and twist counter clockwise about an inch, then pull straight out. Push in on the bulb while turning counter clockwise until it pulls out of the lamp holder.

These fog lamps usually have a little bit of cushioning grease in the socket. Do not remove the grease or connectivity problems will result with the new fog lamp. Push the new bulb in, turn clockwise until bulb stops turning, release hand pressure.

Installation is the reverse of removal.

2003trailblazer head light bulb replace

Drivers side: Gotta stick your hand way in there in front of the battery, and take the rubber dust boot off, just slides right off. Twist the bulb out, and disconnect from connector.

Passenger side: easiest if you just remove the air cleaner box, 3 screws, one on the top, one on the right side, and one on the bottom left. Remove these screws, then pull box straight up. You'll then have complete easy access to the rubber dust boot and bulb.

Need to get housing off of my 2003 envoy headlamps so I can replace the bulbs.

you replace the bulbs from the back of the headlight housing not separating the lens assembly.you may have to move things out of the way as there is very little room to get your hand in there to do the job.sometimes the manufacture has made it easy to remove the assembly to change the bulbs.it is usually 2 bolts(screws) that need to be removed(loosened) and the assembly tilted and pulled up or out away from the locking tab.you will have to look to see which way to do this.

hi
if you remove the driver side wheel, look the the front of the wheel arch you will see a plastis cover around the wheel arch, pull out the round push-in fasteners at the front part only, the rear of the foglamp is situated there. there is a rubber cover that needs removed to access the bulb..

How do i replease the fog lights on my 2003

To replace the foglights, you need to get at them from the backside, under the car. The best way is to jack the car up to give yourself some room.

It is very easy to replace and you can replace JUST the bulb. Don't have anyone tell you you have to replace the entire assembly.

Removal & Installation
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Detach the connector for the foglamp.
  3. Twist the foglamp bulb 1/4 of a turn and remove the bulb from the foglamp lens.
To install:
  1. Twist the bulb until the tangs engage into the foglamp lens.
  2. Attach the connector for the foglamp.
  3. Connect the negative battery cable.

Changing front headlight bulb, directions?

1. Drivers Side. This is the easiest to get to. After opening the hood, right behind the lamp housing there are (2) rubber caps. The outside cap contains the low beam/day running bulb and the inside cap contains the high beam bulb.
a. Both bulbs are replaced the same way. Remove the rubber cap, these caps are soft and pliable but when you grab the edges to pull them off, they feel rigid. This is because the rubber cap is pressed over a hard plastic flange so when you squeeze and pull, it can be difficult to remove. If you can’t get a good grip to pull them off -
b. (Tip) There (2) clips on the headlamp housing, one is in plan view to the left and the other is under the fender just to the right top of the housing. It’s a little difficult to get to and you may need a flat head screwdriver to pry it up. Pull up on these clips and they will release the housing, but you cannot remove it. This will allow you to pull the housing out a few inches and you can see the edges of the rubber caps.
c. Using a flat head screwdriver, just gently pry the cap, once it starts coming off you can remove it with your hand. Reach in and grab the bulb assembly and turn it about ¼ corner turn “counter” clockwise and it will come out.
d. Remove the power wire harness that is clipped on.
e. Snap the new bulb into the power wire harness (DO NOT TOUCH) the new bulb with your bare hand!
f. Gently place it the bulb assembly back in the housing, turn ¼ turn clockwise, it will snap into place, replace the rubber cap, push the housing back into place and press the housing clips back down.
g. NOTE: Always put the rubber cap back on, it helps to keep moisture out of the housing.

2. Passenger Side. This is the hardest to get to. Remove the air cleaner cover and filter or you won’t be able to reach the back side of the housing. The instruction on how to remove these items should be in your owners manual.

How do I change the lowbeam bulb on a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer?

Behind the low beam and high beam lamps, on the back of the assembly, you can see and feel a round, cup-like, hard plastic piece. This is really just a rubber cap covering a plastic cylindrical housing, and is the "back-door" for lamp access.
This rubber cap, or lid, can be pulled off with your fingers...if you can grip it just right and pull off. If this is too hard to do, then take a flat tip screwdriver and gently "pry" it off.
Then twist the bulbs counter clockwise about a quarter turn.

If you are going to replace the passenger side low beam remove the air cleaner assembly first. To do this remove the cross brace, then the 3 screws on the air cleaner assembly. This will give you easy access to the bulb assembly. Test the bulb before you reassemble.

How do I change the buld on my fog light?

Jeep WJ 1999-2003 - Front Foglamp (#9055)

The foglamp bulbs can be accessed and removed from underneath the bumper without tools, although it is a tight fit. Turn the lamp socket 1/4 turn counter-clockwise to remove from the rear of the housing. Note that the screw in the front of the foglamps is for alignment only and does not remove the outer lens. The fog lamp housing is attached to the fascia with two nuts which can be removed with a 10mm socket.

Fog lamps can be added to most Laredo model WJ's that came from the factory without them. Mopar kits are available that include two fog lights, wiring harness, and steering column switch. Click HERE for part numbers and other information on these kits.

How do I change the taillights of a ford E350 econoline van (2003)?

you have to access the lamp housing by removing the three screws holding it to the body. The screws are likely located beneath weatherstripping that you can olny access when the door is open, once the house is detached, the bulbs are easy to change, gently rotate the rubber seals counter-clockwise until they pop out of the housing and check which bulbs are bad. Then just replace the burnt out bulbs and reattach the housing.

This rubber cap, or lid, can be pulled off with your fingers...if you can grip it just right and pull off. If this is too hard to do, then take a flat tip screwdriver and gently "pry" it off. Once you see how it is attached, your going to do a 180 and say, "gee, this is a pretty easy design" ! The bulbs do not pull out!! They are removed with a 90 degree twist.
If you are going to replace the passenger side low beam remove the air cleaner assembly first. To do this remove the cross brace, then the 3 screws on the air cleaner assembly. This will give you easy access to the bulb assembly. Test the bulb before you reassemble. ADDITIONAL OPTION: On each side of the assembly, you will see a small, thin release bar that will pull up (I needed a small pliers to get one loose). Once both are in the "up" position, the entire assembly can be gently eased out. You won't get far because the other bulbs are still plugged in. However, you don't have to unplug any of the other bulbs or remove the air cleaner. Easing out the assembly simply proves more room for your hand to get a better angle at the bulbs. I simply reached around and removed the old bulbs as specified above and did the reverse to insert the new ones.
