Your turbosounds like it is starving for air. The exhaust drives the unit and if the intake is restricted, air filter dirty, etc. Get a boost gauge and physically see what the turbo is doing. You can find one at a heavy truck parts store. Good Luck.

My car does not start it has a code U0156 diahatsu siron 2008

The standard description of Diagnostic Test Code (DTC) U0156 is "Lost Communication With Information Center "A"" This is a computer network fault. It could be due to a failed module or loss of power to the module. There may also be other faults in other parts of the system. If you are getting this code from the engine control module, the entire computer network in your vehicle needs to be tested/diagnosed. Many components can be affected by a single module that cannot communicate because several of the modules share the same data in order to make your vehicle function properly.

When driving, the turbo shuts down and I lose power. After shutting the car off for 15-20 minutes, the turbo resets and works again. Sometimes it will work for a few days, other times it may only work...

Check the spark plugs, I have seen several VW turbos with this problem. The aluminum heads expand and contract to fast and crack the porcelain on the plug causing the engine to misfire when the turbo spools up and makes boost. The misfire drops the engine and trans into a "safe mode" where it loses power.

My turbo on my f250 is using more power going down a flat streatch of road and even more going up a hill or slight incline. What would cause the increase of power to the turbo.

Your turbo is using more power??? Do you mean it is giving more boost? The turbo runs off of exhaust gasses. It doesn't use any "engine" power to operate. Any engine operation that will cause more exhaust gasses will make the turbo spin faster and provide more boost.

Is the turbocharger expensive to replace? Can the car run if the turbo is not working?

Yes, replacement can be pricey. The engine is de tuned to allow for the pressure of the turbo, so without one you will not have much performance.

Engine indicator is on, turbo does not work if speed over 30 mph

the turbo is the problem and needs replacement.  It's sadly expensive so try a junk yard or a turbo rebuilder.
