Have the horn relay either tested or replaced. Intrermitant then fail indicates this may very well be the problem. Disconnect the horn itself and have someone press horn button. Listen for clicking of relay. If clicking, locate the rrelay. . If no vlivkicking, ther is your problem. Now to locate the relay. Should be under the hood on firewall. Good Luck

The horn on my 1999 ford f250 keeps going off by itself.

Likely the relay is stuck. The horn gets 12v when you press the horn button and it energizes the relay to send power to the horn. The horn gets 12v and sends that through the horn and then to ground. There's nothing in the horn to cause it to stay on. The only other possible cause would be a horn button that is stuck in a depressed position or the wire is damaged and is grounded. Any relay you have that has the same dimensions can be used to test if the relay went bad by swapping it out and seeing if the horn blows.

The horn on my sequoia randomly went off,no one was driving it it was just parked in the drive way. I had to unplug the horn.

Could be a motion sensor is going bad (sensors that detect someone breaking in). See if you dealer can verify they are OK.

My horn stopped working on my 2001 oldsmobile silhouette. It made a funny noise before it went out. We changed the relay but that didn't do the trick. Any ideas?

The horn itself is dead , that funny noise was it's last breath. You can get a horn from an auto wrecker for just about nothing. It does not necesarilly have to be from the same vehicle , as long as it fits.

Horn and cruise control stopped working

The horn probably got water in it and this caused it to rust around the electro-magnet inside causing it to seize up. Replace the horn.
