Installing a new battery does not require you to reset the computer. I think this is just a coincidence and has noting to do with you replacing the battery unless you accidentally disconnected some wire. If it is stalling the Check Engine light should be on. Have the ECU scanned and see what code comes up and what it points you to. It will tell you what part is being effected but not necessarily what part is bad.

That's funny - I dis-connected and then re-connected my battery and now my truck does the same thing (won't idle - wants to die)

03 chevy impala will not start

I suggest that you take it to a repair ship and have them hook a machine up to the computer in your car to do diagnostics so then you would know what exactly is going on so you could fix it once and for all.

2003 envoy changed battery out and now when i put on ac truck stalls and dies

The throttle body needs to be cleaned, grime in this area prevents the throttle plate from closing completely and allowing air to enter, making the air/fuel mixture lean. Make sure to clean the front and back sides of the throttle body. Also, disconnect the battery during the cleaning process to allow the computer to reset and relearn to the cleaned throttle body.
When you changed the battery, the computer was reset back to factory settings and with a dirty throttle, the fuel/air mixture is incorrect.

I no the computer sets the a/c idle, but after having the battery out now the engine stalls with or with out the a/c turned on,whats wronge?this computer must not have a self lern.Do i need to take it some...

You didn't post a year or engine size. Anyway they all have a keep alive memory. After the battery is disconnected for 30 minutes this resets to factory settings. This doesn't cause a stall problem. A little rough idle maybe. When installing a new battery most people don't know to hook the positive side up first. This way will not cause a spike to the ecm or any other computer. Spikes can damage computers. But this is not a common thing to happen. I would check it for codes and go from there. There are alot of sensors that will cause a stall. Bad vacuum leak, MAF sensor,Dirty air filter, dirty fuel filter and so on. Let me know RAndy

Stalls when at idle after changing battery

When you changed the battery the computer must re-learn the setting again. If it continues have a OBD II reader plugged in and check for codes.
