I have an chevy optra5 throwing code p0700.When i drive the car the check engine lite comes on and the D for drive blinks in the information center and when i stop for a lite and go again she losses power and starts slowly like she is stuck in high gear.

The P2430 error will be set if the PCM finds improper voltage or resistance in the secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor circuit bank 1 and the check engine light will blink.

Check Engine Light On, P0300 Random Misfire Code. A random misfire means your engine is misfiring, but that the problem is not isolated to one or two cylinders. It is jumping around in a random way from one cylinder to another. A random misfire code usually means the air/fuel mixture is running lean.

What the P0700 code means. P0700 is set when the PCM detects a malfunction in the transmission control system. Because it is not starting, you should replace the Crankshaft sensor (above the oil filter, back of the engine)-it will cause a P0700-I have a 99 SL2, 178,000 miles

There are a couple of bulletins from GM on valves causing these codes. # 05-06-01-030D and #PIP3063C are the bulletin #'s you need to have them look at. They are related to the valves in the cylinder head causing your exact symptoms. You should contact another dealer or GM customer assistance with this info. Good Luck

there is a Technical service bulletin for this problem, the number of the TSB is 01575, TSB Date:January 1, 2004
It has to do with engine valve seating problems.
