Just had this problem recently mate.its the clock spring which sits behind the steering wheel.what happens as the car ages the coiled wires break andyou lose you horn ,cruise switches and air bag light stays on.its not all bad as its covered by a recall and didnt cost me a cent ,contact crysler dealer give them vin number and they will tell you if its covered,mine is 2000 model. hope this helps.

in the stering colum behind the stering its call a clock its defectif everything that in the stering wheel goes truth that clock even if you have a cruise control its probably dont work for sure its that all those caravan have that problem hope its a fixya for you and me thanks pierre p.s if you do ourself dont forget to disconnect the battery for the air bag wont deployed

contact your dealer...the clockspring should be covered under a d17 recall ..they will replace it for free

replace the clock-spring ribbon contact under the steering wheel, that is the problem, u have lost the connection due to a broken ribbon contact.

There's a recall on the clockspring on Chrysler and Plymouth so I believe Dodge should have the same recall . Just check with your local dealer .

you need to have the codes read for the air bag to know for sure which direction to start ,but yes, they are all tied in to the clock spring.
