You insert a 3/8" breaker bar into the square hole on the tensioner and rotate to loosen the surpentine belt. If you don't have enough clearance for a breaker bar you can rent a surpintine belt tool at one of the major auto parts stores.
There is a tension pulley that will loosen the belt you will need a socket and a breaker bar to do so.
