The low pressure switch on the a/c line is at fault or you have to little freon in system to make the pressure switch work. The low pressure switch is put in the a/c line to keep you from burning up the a/c compressor. Anytime the freon fall below a certain level (pressure) then the switch will cut out to keep anything from burning up. Hope this will help you.

My AC stopped working. I can see that the compressor clutch is not engaging. My Freon pressure was very low so I added to the proper level. But still doesn't work.

I need year--make--model?
You removed the fuse and used paper clip in the fuse socket? I'm just trying to understand what you did with paper clip?

Why won't the A/C turn on?

You did put 134a back in? But possibly not enough? There is a pressure safety switch somewhere in the system that detects pressure and opens the circuit if not enough freon. At least that is where I would start. Does the Compressor turn freely otherwise by hand? Did you get enough compressor oil into the system (new Compressors need special charge with compressor oil).

1996 honda accord lx problems getting left side axle into intermediate shaft

I haven't tackled this yet on my 97, but on my previous Honda, the axle was painted on the end and I had to sand it down with some sand paper, otherwise we couldn't get it into the transmission. Otherwise, the splines should line up and you pop it in.

My control unit wont switch on ac

It may not be a control unit issue. Be sure to check all fuses. You may have a pressure switch issue. There are at least 2 pressure switches located in the engine compartment. One is usually located on the back of the ac pump and there is usually one on the passenger side near the firewall on one of the aluminum ac lines. You can simply unplug the one by the firewall and take a paper clip and unfold it and use it for a jumper on the connector. Put one end of the clip in one side of the connector (the end of the connector that plugs into the switch) and the other end of the clip into the other side of the connector. Start your Tahoe and turn the ac on and if the ac pump is turning with the ac clutch engaged that means that you either have a bad switch or your are low on refrigerant. Feel the aluminum ac lines and see if they are getting cold. If so I would suspect a bad pressure switch. You can remove the paper clip while the vehicle is running and put it back in if you are not sure if the ac clutch is engaged. It should make a clicking noise when it engages and disengages. It is very simple to replace that switch. Simply unscrew it and screw the new one in and plug it in. It will hiss just a little when you remove and install so be quick. It will stop when you remove the old one and will hiss again a little when installing the new one. The switch on the back of the pump is not so easy. The refrigerant needs to be evacuated from the system before it can be replaced.

The A/C doesnt work although its topped out.

Verify compressor operation. With it idling have the hood open and watch the compressor, and make sure the center of the wheel turns. If it doesn't then you either have a bad wire, fuse, relay, pressure switch, or compressor clutch. Check the fuse first, if its good then locate the pressure switch, most of the time its on the drier near the front behind the grill or near the fire wall at the passenger fender. Pull the connector off and there should be two pins in the connector. Take a jumper wire or even a large paper clip will work and connect them together to see if the compressor kicks on. If it does then you have a bad switch and will need to be taken to a shop that can drain and recover the AC coolant. Take it to a shop that can put the old freon back in it. And try to be in the shop when they do the work so that they can't charge you for new freon if they put the old back in. My AC doesn't work due to a bad pressure switch. And make sure you don't run it with the pressure switch bypassed, otherwise the system will blow up.

Replace drivers side mirror and removal of the door pannel on a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix

They have kits you can buy to remove the door panel but when you do it, be careful and go slow, make sure not to break off the clips on the door panel otherwise it wont fit right when you want to put it back in. im not so sure about the mirror though.

Heater & ac

this is usually a bad blower motor resistor. It is usually where your blower motor is and it could be behind or under your glove box.

My Bmw 325 SE cd player wont work...but the radio is working

The carriage inside the cd player is half way in mode.  Which means the cd has to be removed mechanically.  In order to do this a qualified technition needs to dismantle it.  On some models there is a reset switch next to the eject button on he changer.  It will be very small.  like the size of a paper clip hole. push in with a pin.  Otherwise go to stereo shop
