If you type in the address bar, "1987 Ford Crown Victoria wiring diagrams" you will get multiple hits. Most of the time a collage of photos and wiring details will appear and you just click on the one that looks best. Just use the search feature
Did you already Google this one? looks to me lots of owners did post about this. I do not understand enough to help you, but please use the words in Google and see what comes up.
...Look up "Crownvic.net" on the internet. This site is specifically for fans of the Crown Vic, and has all kinds of easy to navigate repair info. You may also type in your question and you'll probably find answers to your issues and even photos from those who have accomplished the project you have in mind. You also should check out a local auto salvage yard that has a few of your car models. Take your tools...and explore! Take off a rear door panel of The Crown P-71. Take a look at how the door control rods operate...and use your wrench to become familiar with removal and installation of parts. This is a dirt cheap education! Have fun.
Call Lee at Centrodyne he will help you. The pulse is most easily found on the transmission at the VSS output. It is a connector with two wires, you want the DG/V. Run that to the pulse divider green wire. From the meter, tie the white in the 2 stand cable to the pulse output. Hook up power and ground then calibrate the meter. You should end up in the 33,000 range for calibration.
