The bearing hub assembly requires a heavy duty puller which attaches to the wheel studs and presses against the axle shaft. Often the force required pulls the bearing apart which adds to the fun. The puller runs in the $200+ range which makes this an unusual do-it-yourselfer task.

Most major tool suppliers offer this puller.

Hi...your problem might be coming from your front wheel bearing hubs. They are know to cause this problem as they wear out and eventually have to be replaced.

DO YOU HAVE DO REPACK WHEEL BEARING ON A 2005 ESCAPE AFTER 120,000 MILES

If you're talking about the front wheel bearings, they can't be serviced. They can only be replaced. They are sealed for life (even if the life seems to be a little short).
Here's the front bearing:

I never replaced the rear bearings on my 2002 Escape 4X4, but here's a picture of the rear hub.

What are the front wheel bearing torque specs? For 2000 Chev silverado 2500 4x4,motor 6.0.

Those vehicles should have a hub assembly which incorporates a bearing and hub in one unit. To my knowledge the bearing is not serviceable. The hub assembly is bolted to the steering knuckle, so there actually is no wheel bearing torque. The tire/wheel assembly bolts directly to the wheel flange on the new hub assembly.

05 f150 4wd will not always engage

There are issues with the 4x4 system I.w.e ends ingesting moisture/water into vacuum actuation system causing no 4x4 or ratcheting outboard I.w.e ends. (Even if you don't go 4x4'n ) pull off vacuum hoses @ I.w.e ends and check for moisture/water/rust also the I.w.e is not part of the wheel bearing itself It is the part on the axle side (inboard) of the spindle. (EVEN DEALERS CAT LISTED WRONG)Many shops just replace the wheel bearing side this may fix the symptom but not the true cause of damaged I.w.e. ! Check with a reputable dealer they should have info on this condition and repair procedure.

The integrated wheel end (IWE) system contains the following:

Vacuum reservoir
IWE solenoid
IWEs (spring loaded vacuum hubs)
Vacuum hoses
Check valve
The IWE system uses vacuum hubs that engage the front wheel hubs to the front half shafts or disengage the front wheel hubs from the front half shafts.

The IWE solenoid receives engine vacuum from the vacuum reservoir.

When the 4-wheel drive system is in 2WD mode, the 4x4 module (PCM)supplies a ground path to the IWE solenoid to apply vacuum to the integrated wheel ends (disengaging the front hubs from the front half-shafts). In 4WD mode, the 4x4 module (PCM) does not supply the ground path to the IWE solenoid, vacuum is not applied to the integrated wheel ends and an internal spring keeps the front hubs engaged to the front half-shafts.

Hub assembly and wheel bearings problem

Plan on spending more than $75 on this repair I am quite shore that that wont evan cover the parts. It definitely has a wheel bearing in the case of this vehicle it can only be replaced as an assembly that includes the hub. The ABS wheel speed senser is often sold as part of the assembly or in some cases is sold separately. good chance it will need to be replaced. Get the job done as soon as possible this is a very unsafe condition Your wheel will fall off while driving eventually if not repaired
