You should be able to replace the tensioner assembly, a lot of pulley bolts are reverse thread depending on pulley rotation

Tensioner pivot bolt broken in half. 1/2 hout, 1/2 still in block

You don't spend $1,500 & remove the motor

You may have to use a right angle drill & possibly
lower the sub frame to work on it

You have a situation that a repair shop doesn't want the job,
so you have to do it.

How do you remove a broken bolt on the timimg belt tensioner pulley for a 2001 300m crysler

!st remove the tensioner if it is still bolted in place by second bolt. Easy outs are high tensile you will not drill through it. You may have to carefully try to chisel it out. If you can get it out try a left handed drill bit if you have room to drill. If it won't come you will probably have to re drill & tap a new thread & use oversize bolt

Broke my timing belt while driving will there be any major damage to the motor or can I just replace the timing belt and continue driving Thanks

According to a Gates website (they make timing belts) and another online list (googled: toyota interference engine list), all the engines in the 1991 Celica are free-running and should not suffer damage from a broken timing belt while driving. Cheers!

2001 Celica CTS will not start after clutch replaced...buzzing sound only

You have to ensure that the engine is not locked up and prevented from turning, you must check that the engune will rotate . (socket on crank pully or rock forward in gear with hand break off ) and you will see rotation of engine . A seized or locked engine will give you that buzz type sound (starter motor trying to operate) and will quickly damage starter motor ! Caution ...Good lick

In a 2001 2liter Kia the timing belt broke.. Can I just replace it or do I need to have the valves checked first.? I heard that Kia fixed that problem of bending valves in this model.

Although a KIA manual will state that this is an interference engine, it is not. I know because I have replaced a shredded timing belt on my used 2000 Sportage to take it home and it ran great. Just recently, the timing idler pulley bolt broke while I was driving causing the belt to come off. I replaced the tensioner pulley and drilled out and re-tapped the idler bolt hole and installed the new idler and the belt (it was only 2 months old at the time) and it runs great again. THESE ARE NOT INTERFERENCE ENGINES!!!! you don't have to tear down the top end of the engine to inspect for any damage and it is very simple to install a timing belt on this motor as long as it is done properly.

1995 Toyota Corolla broken bolt

There are other solutions but they are not any cheaper unless you can find someone who can drill the bolts out because otherwise the crankshaft would have to be replaced. This would cost about the same as replacing the engine.

Broke timing belt

now I read your problem, ok lets start with some critical points once you have removed the plasic or metal belt cover you really should set the upper and lower pullys to the pointing locaters but in a push you need to take a sraight edge and create a line across the pully and on the block use as small a permanent marker as you can a tip as the pullies must be spot on when belt is reinstalled. your tensioner is spring loaded and bolted in place when you remove the belt the pully will mostly go unsprung.
