Pretty simple, open the hood, on the back of the headlights, there are 2 flat plastic tabs about 5" long that pop up and out. These will release the whole assembly for removal.
It may be in the fuse panel under the hood. If it is ok, check the cruise control kick out switch operated by the brake pedal. If mis adjusted or knocked out of position cruise will not work.
RElease pressure,,by loosening gas cap, find filter, each end of line has a tab inside if not out if inside need tool can but at part stores ,,push tool around linr @ pull line watch for gas to run out!!!!
Remove the cable from the latch and any hold downs or clamps. Push the rubber gromet through the fire wall into the car. Remove the handel assy. and pull
the cable assy.out through the fire wall. Now, if the
gromet can be removed. You can decide if you wan't
to put it back from under the dash, or under the hood.
Whatever is easiest for you, but if it can't, it has to go
back from under the dash. Hope this helps.
Good luck.
You need to bend a hook in a coat hanger and then try to snag the cable end from the front of the truck, just below the hood.If you know someone who's truck you can look at[any chev or gmc truck] it will be easier for you to figure out.You may possibly have enough cable left inside the truck to get a pair of vise grips on,that would be easier.
