Question about 2004 Dodge Dakota

1 Answer

Keep getting po155 code even after replacing 02 sensor several times with new one from dodge. Had transmission replaced under warranty and have been chasing 02 sensors ever since. All but 1 has been replaced at least once. dealership has replaced bank 2 sensor 1, 3 times and it seems like it keeps going bad within 1 mile of driving This is a 2004 dakota, 4.7 v8 quad with 53000 miles.

This code is for bank 2 sensor 1 only. You need to inspect the wiring harness. Chances are it was damaged when the trans was worked on. Check both sides for the same signals, Both 02 sensors before the cat. If there not the same on voltage then thats where the problem is.

You should have 12v on on of the heater wire and a ground on the other with the key on.. The wires for the heater should be the same color ones. Or you can go to mitchell1diy and for ten bucks get the diagnostic procedures and wiring diagrams.

I have a 2007 Dodge Dourango and I have a check engine light the code of the car is p013c can anyone tell me what the code means.

Oxygen sensor slow response. Have the 02 sensor data scanned to determine what sensor may be causing the code. I have come across several dodge/chrysler models that required PCM replacement to correct this issue after replacing 02 sensors didn't correct the problem

Can an O2 oxygen sensor effect another sensor and give a false reading?

Check which side of your engine has cylinder #1. That side is bank 1. Bank 2 is the side opposite of bank 1. So bank 2 is not always passenger side. And since you seem to have extra O2 sensors, I would replace the other upstream and see what happens. Also the mass air sensor can give a trouble code issue to the upstream 02 sensors. Good luck. I've struggled thru this myself.

Code P0141 and P0155

PO141 is an 02 sensor sensor heater circuit malfunction (bank 1 sensor 2)

PO155 is the same for bank 2 sensor 1.
Depending on your mileage, and no wiring problems, you will need to replace the oxygen sensors and clear the codes.

I hope this helps.

You could have dirty injectors, a vacuum leak, faulty MAF sensor and/or a clogged catalytic converter. Most likely your 02 sensors were fine and didn't need to be replaced. Just because you have an sensor fault code does not mean the sensor is bad, in fact the majority of the time it's working just fine.

2005 Dodge Caravan Transmission 5 times

PLEASE don't take it back to an automotive shop. transmissions are 10x more complicated than the engine itself. most the time the shop will act like they know what is wrong but they don't. take it to a transmission technician , someone who specializes in transmissions, because the shop will keep trying expensive repairs just for the money. you could have replaced your tranny and it could have been a sensor
