280zx turbo dies after it warms up

My 1983 datsun 280zx turbo wants to die after it warms up... It gets spark and gas and it runs until it gets warm. You can keep giving it more and more gas and keep it running for a while but the warmer it gets the lower the rpms get until it dies then if you try to restart it itll flood

It is most likely you ignition control module, thats what is was with mine. It is located on the ignition coil not the distributor as in some zcar models. I bought mine for about 160 bucks, but before you go out and purchase one i would try cleaning the connection if it is corroded. If it is not corroded then you really cannot clean it and need a new one.

something in the electrics is heating up causing resistence--common in old cars------try to target it by runnin OBD I scan with a data stream of values--u cud try doin test on ignition components--cud also be fuel network

1970 Chevy 350 in C30 truck dies when warm


You need to find oput what you loose when the truck shuts off, all you need is Air, Fuel , and spark to run one of the three are droppuig out when it stalls and will not run. Chech the carb for gas it sounds like you have a weak fuel pump.
