Just follow the exhaust pipe from the engine to a first cataliser. The lambda sensor is on a pipe.Next to him is a connector box.

My corsa has had the lamba sensors changed front & back, but with no joy the engine management light is still on, could this be a ECU FAULT please help, the scanner is saying its the front lamba sensor...

what exactly does the code say? there are up to ten codes that can be set for any given 02 sensor. there are codes for sensor open circuit, sensor short to ground, heater open or shorted, slow response, lean or rich mix, as well as a couple which are activated by logical algorithms.
what do you mean by front and back? some cars have two sensors on the exhaust near the heads and two more in front and in back of just the catalytic converter. Details are necessary for quality advice

What do the white wires in the harness go to, I cut them off (accedent) and am not sure if I hooked them back right. also the 2 tan ones?

Not familar with american motors but i would hazard a guess and assume they are for the lamba sensor ,now the 2 white wires sre for the heatrer on the sensor so they can be connected anyway around but the 2 tan wires have got me as a lamba sensor uses two different colours for the filament in the sensor a gray and black is normal but it can vary although i have seen two black and two grays on some replacement sensors so just connect them up and if iam correct it should work providing that this is the lamba sensor wires you have cut through ,if iam right and the engine symbol light comes off reverse the two tan wires and clear the fault code and try again

88 nisson pathfider will not start

usualy if you can smell fuel while you crank it indicates that there is no spark or late spark, first i will check and make sure that the distributor rotor is ok and if it is the i assume the problem is in the timing belt, either it is broken or stripped either way the belt needs to be replaced
